Abstract
La esquizofrenia es un trastorno psicótico crónico que afecta a más de 20 millones de personas a nivel mundial, representando casi el 1% de toda la población y se ubica en cuarto puesto en el ranking de enfermedades que generan más años de vida saludables perdidos; se caracteriza por alteraciones conductuales, emocionales y cognitivas; existe un subtipo específico en la cual el paciente presenta síndrome deficitario y se diagnostica por la presencia de síntomas negativos primarios y persistentes, este subtipo conlleva una mayor probabilidad de complicaciones, como un deterioro significativo de las funciones cognitivas y funcionamiento psicosocial, por lo tanto, su pronóstico es más desfavorable. Por ello este estudio busca determinar los factores asociados a síndrome deficitario con el objetivo de desarrollar estrategias de tratamiento más efectivas, así como implementar medidas preventivas dirigidas a mitigar el impacto del síndrome deficitario, mejorando así la calidad de vida del paciente y un mejor pronóstico a largo plazo.

Therefore, this study seeks to determine the factors associated with deficiency syndrome with the aim of developing more effective treatment strategies, as well as implementing preventive measures aimed at mitigating the impact of deficiency syndrome, thus improving the patient's quality of life and a better prognosis. long term.
