| dc.description | The research was conducted with the purpose of determining the relationship between maternal knowledge about complementary feeding and nutritional status of the child. The sample consisted of 86 mothers and their children. The instruments were: Level of maternal knowledge level on complementary feeding and assessment of nutritional status. The data obtained were tabulated, processed in SPSS and presented in tables of single and double entries with numerical and percentage frequency. The analysis of the study variables was carried out using the Chi Square test (χ²). The following conclusions were reached: 66.3% of mothers present a deficient level of knowledge, 30.2% a regular level and 3.5% a good level. The nutritional status of the infant according to Weight / Age 60.5% have normal nutritional status, 30.2% overweight and 9.3% malnutrition. According to Siz /Age, 73.2% normal size, 16.3% short stature and 10.5% tall stature. According to Weight/Height 51.2% have a normal nutritional status, 32.6% overweight, 10.4% obesity and 5.8% malnutrition. There is a relationship between maternal knowledge about complementary feeding and the nutritional status of children according to Weight/Age and Weight / Size is significant, while for Size / Age it is not significant. | es_PE |
| dc.description.abstract | La investigación se realizó con el propósito de determinar la relación entre el conocimiento materno sobre alimentación complementaria y estado nutricional del niño. La muestra estuvo constituida por 86 madres y sus niños. Los instrumentos fueron: Escala de nivel de conocimiento materno sobre alimentación complementaria y ficha de valoración del estado nutricional. Los datos obtenidos fueron tabulados, procesados en SPSS y presentados en tablas de simple y doble entradas con frecuencia numéricas y porcentuales. El análisis de las variables de estudio, se realizó mediante la prueba Chi Cuadrado (χ²). Se llegó a las siguientes conclusiones: El 66.3% de las madres presentan un nivel de conocimiento deficiente, el 30.2% un nivel regular y el 3.5% un nivel bueno. El estado nutricional del lactante según Peso/Edad el 60.5% tienen estado nutricional normal, el 30.2% sobrepeso y el 9.3% desnutrición. Según Talla/Edad el 73.2% talla normal, el 16.3% talla baja y el 10.5% talla alta. Según Peso/Talla el 51.2% tienen un estado nutricional normal, el 32.6% sobrepeso, el 10.4% obesidad y el 5.8% desnutrición. Existe relación entre conocimiento materno sobre alimentación complementaria y el estado nutricional de los niños según Peso/Edad y Peso/Talla es significativa, mientras que para la Talla/Edad no es significativa. | es_PE |
