dc.descriptionThe present investigation of correlational descriptive type, had like purpose to determine the level of knowledge and the attitude of the nurse in the pain management and to establish the relation that exists between both variables. The sample universe consisted of a total of 30 healthcare nurses. Data collection was performed with the application of two instruments: Questionnaire to measure knowledge in the management of neonatal pain by nurses in neonatal intensive care units and Scale on the attitude of nurses against neonatal pain. The information obtained was processed in simple tables and double entry, showing the following results: the highest percentage of nurses presented a high level of knowledge about pain management, as well as they presented a favorable attitude mostly for the management of pain. The statistical analysis was applied to test independence of criterion (Chi-square) demonstrating that no significant relationship between the level of knowledge and the attitude of the nurse in the pain management (p= 0.156 <0.05).es_PE
dc.description.abstractLa presente investigación de tipo descriptiva correlacional, tuvo como propósito determinar el nivel de conocimiento y la actitud de la enfermera en el manejo del dolor y establecer la relación que existe entre ambas variables. El universo muestral estuvo conformado por un total de 30 enfermeras asistenciales. La recolección de datos se realizó con la aplicación de dos instrumentos: Cuestionario para medir el conocimiento en el manejo del dolor neonatal por los profesionales de enfermería en las unidades de intensivo neonatal y Escala sobre la actitud de la enfermera frente al dolor neonatal.La información obtenida fue procesada en tablas simples y de doble entrada, mostrando los siguientes resultados: el mayor porcentaje de enfermeras presentaron un nivel alto de conocimiento sobre manejo del dolor, así como también presentaron una actitud favorable en su mayoría para el manejo del dolor. Para el análisis estadístico se aplicó el test de independencia de criterios (Chi cuadrado), demostrando que no existe relación significativa entre el Nivel de Conocimiento y la Actitud de la Enfermera en el Manejo del Dolor (p= 0.156 <0.05).es_PE
