It made the following problem: ¿what is the use of antibiotics in febrile neutropenic patients post chemotherapy of service of Hematology the National Hospital Edgardo Rebagliati Martins? The material of the study consists of 56 patients with diagnosis of leukemia that received chemotherapy and presented a febrile neutropenia syndrome. Obtaining the sample was carried out with help from the formula of sample size. The sample was classified according to neutropenia high and low risk analyzed the results in these 2 groups. The paper analyzed and evaluated the use of antibiotics and antifungal in febrile neutropenic patients after chemotherapy, the nature of its use, also found the best therapy for the eradication of infection, the so-called cure rate, it according to each type of neutropenia and finally identified the major etiologic agents isolated from these patientses_ES

Roberto Ibáñez Julia, 42 páginas, 2008, Facultad de Farmacia y Bioquímica, Universidad Nacional de Trujillo. Se formuló el siguiente problema: ¿cuál es el uso de los antibióticos en pacientes neutropénicos febriles post-quimioterapia del servicio de hematología del Hospital Nacional Edgardo Rebagliati Martins? El material del estudio está constituido por 56 pacientes con diagnostico de leucemia que recibieron quimioterapia y que cursaron con neutropenia febril. La obtención de la muestra se realizó con ayuda de la fórmula de tamaño de muestra. La muestra se clasificó de acuerdo a neutropenia de alto y bajo riesgo, analizándose los resultados en estos 2 grupos. En el trabajo se analizó y evaluó el uso de los antibióticos y antimicóticos en los pacientes neutropénicos febriles post quimioterapia, las características de su uso, además se determinó la mejor terapia para la erradicación de la infección, lo que se denominó tasa de curación, ello de acuerdo a cada tipo de neutropenia y finalmente se identificó los principales agentes etiológicos aislados en este tipo de pacienteses_ES
