| dc.description | The present study of a qualitative descriptive approach was carried out in the non profit organization "Mission de Vida" of the district of Laredo, province of Trujillo, with the objectives of understanding the feelings abouth caregivers of children with intellectual disabilities and comprehensively analyzing the feelings caregivers of children with intellectual disabilities. The number of participants in our research consisted of five caregivers of children with intellectual disabilities, who they were interviewed in depth at their homes, which they were recorded with their authorization. The discourses were categorized, which allowed the categorization. The categories were defined: crisis before the situation and coping with reality. Finding that the studied population goes through a series of feelings from the moment they receive the news they have a child with intellectual disability, where they reflect denial, bewilderment, guilt, negotiation with God, depression, since it is at a crucial point, where the caregiver must make the decision; However, after the caregiver has gone through this difficult situation, he decides to move forward, expresses feelings of acceptance, motivation, relief and tranquility towards his child with intellectual disability, for which he is willing to take responsibility for the care of the child with a disability. Finding that the study population experiences a series of feelings when they receive the news that they have a child with intellectual disability, being a series of nonlinear from crisis to coping. The contributions of this investigation help us to know, analyze and understand the feelings of caregivers when having a child with intellectual disability. | es_PE |
| dc.description.abstract | El presente estudio de abordaje cualitativo descriptivo, se realizó en la Organización sin fines de lucro “Misión de Vida” del distrito de Laredo, provincia de Trujillo, teniendo como objetivos: comprender los sentimientos de los cuidadores de los niños con discapacidad intelectual y analizar comprehensivamente los sentimientos de los cuidadores de los niños con discapacidad intelectual. El número de participantes en la investigación estuvo constituido por cuatro cuidadores de niños con discapacidad intelectual, a quienes se les realizó la entrevista a profundidad en sus domicilios, la cual fue grabada con la autorización de los entrevistados. Los discursos fueron categorizados, lo que permitió la categorización. Se definieron las categorías: crisis ante la situación y afrontamiento ante la realidad. Encontrando que la población estudiada pasa por una serie de sentimientos desde el momento que recibe la noticia que tienen un niño con discapacidad intelectual, donde éstos reflejan negación, desconcierto, culpa, negociación con Dios, depresión, puesto que se encuentra en un punto crucial, donde el cuidador debe tomar la decisión; sin embargo, después de que el cuidador haya pasado por esa situación difícil, decide seguir adelante, manifiesta sentimientos de aceptación, motivación, alivio y tranquilidad hacia su niño con discapacidad intelectual, por lo que se encuentra dispuesto a asumir con responsabilidad el cuidado del niño con discapacidad . Los aportes de esta investigación nos orientan a conocer, analizar y comprender lo sentimientos de los cuidadores al tener un niño con discapacidad intelectual. | es_PE |
