dc.descriptionThe purpose of this study was to determine in vitro bioequivalence of immediate-release generic propranolol 40 mg tablets – Lab. Instituto Quimioterápico S.A. – e Inderal® tablets. It was carried out a descriptive-comparative study. The content of propranolol hydrochloride was quantified in both formulations which was inside the established range by the USP 29 (90-110%). It was characterized the dissolution profiles of both formulations in three dissolution media: pH 1,2 0,1N HCl; pH 4,5 buffer and pH 6,8 buffer. The similarity factor values of the dissolution profiles of both formulations in the three dissolution media were under the range (f2 < 50). Based on these findings, the test tablets and Inderal tablets were determined not to be in vitro bioequivalentes_ES
dc.description.abstractEl objetivo del presente estudio fue determinar la bioequivalencia in vitro de tabletas de Propranolol 40 mg de liberación inmediata genérico - Lab. Instituto Quimioterápico S.A. - e Inderal®, para lo cual se realizó un estudio de tipo descriptivo-comparativo. Se cuantificó el contenido de clorhidrato de propranolol en ambas formulaciones encontrándose dentro del rango establecido por la USP 29 (90-110%). Se caracterizaron los perfiles de disolución de ambas formulaciones en tres medios: HCl 0,1N pH 1,2; Buffer acetato pH 4,5 y Buffer fosfato pH 6,8; encontrándose un factor de similitud por debajo del rango en los tres medios ensayados (f2 < 50), concluyéndose que las tabletas de Propranolol Genérico 40 mg de liberación inmediata – Lab. Instituto Quimioterápico S.A. e Inderal® no son bioequivalentes in vitroes_ES
