Abstract
La presente tesis se realizó con la finalidad de analizar las causas que generan el Maltrato Infantil en los niños usuarios del Área de la Defensoría Municipal del Niño, Niña y Adolescente en la Municipalidad Distrital de Guadalupe del Distrito de Guadalupe, Provincia de Pacasmayo, Región La Libertad en el año 2014. Se ha considerado el tipo de investigación aplicada, teniendo como base un diseño explicativo, y la muestra constó de 40 niñas y niños usuarios de la DEMUNA, con los cuales se trabajó aplicando los métodos y técnicas de la investigación cuantitativa y cualitativa. De los resultados obtenidos se puede deducir que los niños, niñas y adolescentes que perciben maltrato infantil físico y psicológico en la familia, cuyas causas son mayormente atribuidas a padres con conductas agresivas, sobrecarga de horario de trabajo, problemas económicos, consumo de alcohol, estilos de crianza de manera autoritaria y diversas costumbres donde predominan violentos. Además podemos contrastar que los niños, niñas y adolescentes maltratados corren graves riesgos el cuerpo y salud mental y que a la vez va generar grandes traumas en sus estilos de vida y comportamiento dentro de la sociedad.

This thesis was carried out with the purpose of analysing the causes that generated the Child Abuse in children users of the area of the Municipal Office of Child and Adolescent in the District Municipality of Guadalupe District of Guadalupe, Province of Pacasmayo, La Libertad Region in the year 2015. It has been considered the type of applied research on the basis of an explanatory design, and the sample consisted of 40 girls and boys of the DEMUNA users, with which work by applying the methods and techniques of quantitative and qualitative research. The results obtained, we can deduce that the children and adolescents who receive child physical abuse and psychological in the family, whose causes are mostly attributed to parents with aggressive behavior, overload of hours of work, economic problems, alcohol consumption, parenting styles in an authoritarian fashion and various customs where violent predominate. In addition, we can compare that children and adolescents abused are at serious risk the body and mental health and that at the same time will generate major traumas in their lifestyles and behavior within the society.
