dc.descriptionObjective:Describe the evolution of body mass index, hematocrit and blood pressure in medical students. Method: Longitudinal and retrospective study. 77 clinical histories was analyzed in medical students, who were attended in service Bienestar Universitario of the UNT, from first academic year (2013) to sixth academic year (2018). Was evaluated the mean and standard deviation, and if exists difference according gender and the totality of students, through statistics test t student, p < 0.05. Results: 29.87% were women and 70.13% men.The mean and standard deviations are respectively:BMI (Body mass index, kg/m2) 23.26 (DE: 3.99) and 24.85 (DE: 3.87), SBP (mmHg) 113.39 (DE: 11.75) and 117.70 (DE: 13.40), DBP (mmHg) 69.90 (DE: 10.36) and 69.19 (DE: 8.10), hematocrit in female group 39.48% (DE: 2.91) and 39.17% (DE: 2.85), hematocritin male group was 46.74% (DE: 2.55) and 45.43% (DE: 2.86). Mean differences between first and sixth year; in all students, in BMIandSBP were significant (p<0.05), not in DBP; in female gender changes in BMI was significant (p<0.05), but not SBP, DBP and hematocrit; and in male gender BMI, hematocrit and SBP were significant, but not DBP. Conclusion:BMI and SBP in medical students increase over the course of 6 years of study. Hematocrit in male gender decrease over the course of 6 years of study.es_PE
dc.description.abstractObjetivo:Describir la evolución de índice de masa corporal, hematocrito y presión arterial en estudiantes de medicina. Método:Estudio longitudinal, retrospectivo. Se analizaron 77 historias clínicas de estudiantes de medicina que acudieron al servicio de Bienestar Universitario de la UNT, desde el primer año (2013) hasta el sexto año (2018) académicos.Se evaluó la media y desviación estándar, y si existe diferencia significativa según género y en toda la muestra, mediante la prueba estadística T Student, p < 0.05. Resultados:29.87% correspondieron al género femenino y 70.13%al masculino. Las medias del primer y sexto año son respectivamente: IMC(kg/m2) de23.26(DE: 3.99) y 24.85 (DE: 3.87), PAS(mmHg) de 113.39 (DE: 11.75) y 117.70(DE: 13.40), PAD(mmHg) de 69.90 (DE: 10.36) y 69.19 (DE: 8.10),el hematocrito en el sexo femenino de 39.48% (DE: 2.91) y 39.17% (DE: 2.85), y el hematocrito en el sexo masculino de 46.74% (DE: 2.55) y 45.43% (DE: 2.86).Las diferencias de medias entre primero y sexto año; en la totalidad de estudiantes, en el IMC y PAS fue significativa (p<0.05), mas no en la PAD; en el sexo femenino el IMC fue significativa (p<0.05), mas no en PAS, PAD y hematocrito; y en el sexo masculino fue significativa en IMC, Hematocrito y PAS, no en PAD. Conclusión:El IMC y la PAS de estudiantes de medicina aumentan en el transcurso de los 6 años de estudio. El hematocrito en el género masculino disminuye en el transcurso de los seis años de estudio.es_PE
