| dc.description | This study is qualitative in nature, with a phenomenological approach, following the ideas of Heidegger, was the object of study "Experiences of adult patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. New Town District. "The venue was the district of Pueblo Nuevo, with 14 participants according to certain criteria. The techniques used were: interviews and observation. Speeches obtained were classified into six units of meaning: Drinking enough water, eating more or being fussy, losing weight, having the test and have the medical diagnosis to discover their illness makes them taken by surprise was a shock to know news suffering from the disease; Fear of possible complications and long-term and imminent operation associated with the disease; Resignation and acceptance with their illness and move forward is the decision they make these patients are comforted by their faith in God and the support of his family, he deliberately takes a commitment to care, practicing healthy habits to control their disease. They initially faced an uncertain future, but over time his ex-sist achieve authenticity achieved by taking control of their lives. | dc.description.abstract | El presente estudio es de naturaleza cualitativa, con enfoque fenomenológico, siguiendo las ideas de Heidegger; tuvo como objeto de estudio Vivencias de los pacientes adultos con Diabetes Mellitus Tipo 2. Distrito de Pueblo Nuevo. El escenario fue el distrito de Pueblo Nuevo; con 14 participantes siguiendo ciertos criterios de inclusión. Las técnicas utilizadas fueron: entrevista y observación. Los discursos obtenidos fueron clasificados en seis unidades de significado: El tomar bastante agua, el comer más o estar inapetente, el bajar de peso, hacerse análisis y tener el diagnóstico médico hace que descubran su enfermedad que les toma por sorpresa; Fue impactante conocer la noticia que sufría de dicha enfermedad; Temor ante posibles complicaciones a corto y largo plazo y a la operación inminente asociadas a la enfermedad; Resignación y Aceptación ante su enfermedad y seguir adelante es la decisión que toman estos pacientes; Se sienten reconfortados por su fe en dios y por el apoyo de su familia; Asume conscientemente el compromiso de cuidarse, practicar hábitos saludables para el control de su enfermedad. Los hallazgos develan que estos pacientes inicialmente se enfrentan a un futuro incierto, pero con el transcurrir del tiempo su ex- sistir logra alcanzar la autenticidad tomando el control de sus vidas.
