dc.description.abstractEl presente trabajo de investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar el porcentaje de complicaciones intraoperatorias en pacientes COVID-19 (enfermedad por coronavirus 2019) de Centro Quirúrgico, en un hospital de Trujillo, periodo 2021 – junio 2023. Como parte de la metodología, se realizó un estudio observacional, descriptivo, longitudinal, retrospectivo, basado en la recopilación de los reportes de complicaciones intraoperatorias que presentaron los pacientes COVID-19. Se recolectaron 1097 reportes de complicaciones intraoperatorias en pacientes COVID-19 positivos pertenecientes al Centro Quirúrgico de un hospital de Trujillo dentro del lapso de tiempo que abarca desde enero de 2021 hasta junio de 2023. Las fuentes de información fueron los reportes de complicaciones intraoperatorias proporcionados por el Departamento de Estadística e Informática del hospital y el libro de sala de operaciones. Para el procesamiento de datos, se hizo uso del programa Microsoft Excel, en el cual se elaboraron tablas comparativas por cada año de acuerdo al tipo de anestesia y al tipo de órgano diana afectado. En conclusión, las complicaciones intraoperatorias estuvieron presentes en mayor porcentaje durante el año 2021 en pacientes inducidos a anestesia general a comparación de la regional, con afectación en mayor medida a nivel cardiovascular; sin embargo, en ambos tipos de anestesia se observó una disminución en el porcentaje de reporte de complicaciones con el pasar de la pandemia.
dc.description.abstractABSTRACT The objective of this research work was to determine the percentage of intraoperative complications in COVID-19 patients (coronavirus disease 2019) of the Surgical Center, in a hospital in Trujillo, period 2021 - June 2023. As part of the methodology, a observational, descriptive, longitudinal, retrospective study, based on the compilation of reports of intraoperative complications presented by COVID- 19 patients. 1,097 reports of intraoperative complications in positive COVID-19 patients belonging to the Surgical Center of a hospital in Trujillo were collected within the period of time that spans from January 2021 to June 2023. With it, we sought to determine if the disease caused by COVID-19 influenced the number of reports of intraoperative complications of surgical patients from 2021 to June 20293. The sources of information were the data records provided by the hospital's Statistics Department and the operating room book. For data processing, the Microsoft Excel program was used, in which comparative tables were prepared for each year according to the type of anesthesia and the type of target organ affected. In conclusion, intraoperative complications were present at a higher percentage during 2021 in patients induced under general anesthesia compared to regional anesthesia; However, in both types of anesthesia, a decrease in the percentage of reporting complications was observed as the pandemic passed.
