| dc.description | The experimental quantitative investigation, was realized in Neonatology Service of Belen de Trujillo Hospital, during the months of May to June 2014, with purpose of compare the time of measurement and variation of mercurial axillary temperature versus digital. The sample was integrated by 64 newborns. MINITAB 18 test was used to statistical analysis. The result were represented in statistical tables with standard deviations and arithmetic average, analysis of variance (ANVA) and graphics test of Tukey was used by me to interactive effects with 95 percent por cent of confidence. The result indicated that there isn’t statistical difference of time of measurement when newborn was in incubator (2.91) or in joint accommodation (3.11), neither when the temperature is measured using a mercury thermometer (3.06) or digital (2.95). There isn’t statistical difference of axillary average temperature when a newborn was in incubator (36.97 ° C) or joint accommodation (36.83 ° C); but if you measure the temperature using a mercury thermometer (36.87) or digital (36.93 ° C), with an overestimation of axillary temperature of 0.063 ° C with digital thermometer comparing with the mercury thermometer. Also there isn’t interactive effect of the environment where the newborn was and type of thermometer used (p = 1.000> 0.05). To effects of use of the digital thermometer, there isn’t statistical difference with the mercury thermometer when the measures were taken in the same thermal environment. | es_PE |
| dc.description.abstract | La investigación cuantitativa experimental, se realizó en el servicio de Neonatología del Hospital Belén de Trujillo, durante los meses de Mayo a Junio del 2014, con la finalidad de comparar el tiempo de medición y variación de la temperatura axilar mercurial versus digital. La muestra estuvo conformada por 64 recién nacidos. Para el análisis estadístico se empleó el programa MINITAB 18. Los resultados se presentaron en tablas con medias y desviaciones estándar, para los efectos interactivos se utilizó el análisis de varianza (ANVA) y la prueba gráfica de Tukey al 95 por ciento de confianza. Los resultados indicaron que no existe diferencia estadística del tiempo de medición cuando el recién nacido se encuentra en incubadora (2.91) o en alojamiento conjunto (3.11), tampoco cuando se mide la temperatura empleando un termómetro de mercurio (3.06) o digital (2.95). No existe diferencia estadística de la temperatura axilar media cuando el recién nacido se encuentra en incubadora (36.97°C) o en alojamiento conjunto (36.83°C); pero sí cuando se mide la temperatura empleando un termómetro de mercurio (36.87) o digital (36.93°C), con una sobrevaloración de la temperatura axilar digital de 0.063°C. Asimismo no hay efecto interactivo del ambiente donde se encuentra el recién nacido y el tipo de termómetro empleado (p=1.000>0.05). Para efectos del uso del termómetro digital, no hay diferencia estadística con el termómetro de mercurio, cuando las medidas se realizan en su mismo ambiente térmico. | es_PE |
