dc.descriptionThe present investigation is a study of descriptive – restrospectively of cross-sectional which intention was oriental to determine the consumption of Vancomycin 500 mg in the hospital Víctor Lazarte Echegaray during the years 2007 - 2009, in order to analyze the trend of consumption and to identify possible diversions in the use of this antibiotic. The information obtained of of the computer system of the hospital Víctor Lazarte Echegaray. The population in study was shaped by all the records of consumption of Vancomycin in the study period. The consumption de Vancomycin for the year 2009 was of 3.91 DDD/100Beds/Day. The Intensive Care Unit (UCI) was the highest consumption of service Vancomycin with 11.42 DDD/100Beds/Day, followed by the Intermediate Care Unit (UCIN) with 2.42 DDD/100Beds/Day, the department of medicine was a consumption of 2.22 DDD/100Beds/Day and finally the department of Surgery with 0.80 DDD/100Beds/Day. The trend of the consumption of Vancomycin in 2009 was increasing. The costs generated by the use of Vancomycin for the institution was S/.53251.36 New Sunses_ES
dc.description.abstractLa presente investigación corresponde a un estudio descriptivo – retrospectivo de corte transversal cuyo propósito estuvo orientado a determinar y comparar el consumo de Vancomicina 500 mg en los servicios de hospitalización del Hospital Víctor Lazarte Echegaray durante 2007 – 2009, a fin de analizar la tendencia de consumo e identificar posibles desviaciones en el uso de éste antibiótico. Los datos se obtuvieron del servicio de informática del hospital. La población en estudio estuvo conformada por los registros de consumo de Vancomicina de los servicios de hospitalización en el periodo de estudio. El consumo del año de Vancomicina para el año 2009 fue de 3.91 DDD/100 camas/Día. La Unidad de cuidados Intensivos (UCI) fue el servicio de mayor consumo de Vancomicina con 11.42 DDD/100 camas/Día, seguido de la Unidad de cuidados Intermedios (UCIN) con 2.42 DDD/100 camas/Día, el servicio de Medicina obtuvo un consumo de 2.22 DDD/100 camas/Día y por último el servicio de Cirugía 0.80 DDD/100 camas/Día. La tendencia del consumo de Vancomicina en el año 2009 fue creciente. Los costos que genera el consumo de Vancomicina para la institución fueron de S/. 53251.36 Nuevos soleses_ES
