Abstract
El presente trabajo de investigación corresponde a un estudio descriptivo-retrospectivo de corte transversal cuyo propósito estuvo orientado a determinar el consumo de Cefepime en los servicios de hospitalización del hospital Víctor Lazarte Echegaray en el año 2008, a fin de analizar la tendencia de consumo e identificar posibles desviaciones en el uso de éste antibiótico. Los datos se obtuvieron del servicio de informática del hospital. La población en estudio estuvo conformada por todos los registros de consumo de cefepime de los servicios de hospitalización en el año de estudio. El consumo total de cefepime para el año 2008 fue de 2.21 DDD/100 Camas/Día. La Unidad De Cuidados Intensivos (UCI) fue el servicio de mayor consumo de cefepime con 7.35 DDD/100 Camas/Día, seguido de la Unidad de Cuidados Intermedios con 3.87 DDD/100 Camas/Día, el servicio de Medicina obtuvo un consumo de 3.53 DDD/100 Camas/Día y por último el servicio de Cirugía con 0.74 DDD/100 Camas/Día. La tendencia del consumo de cefepime en el año 2008 fue decreciente. Los costos que genera el consumo de cefepime para la institución fue de S/. 156558.88 Nuevos soles.
Description
The work present of investigation is a study of descriptive-retrospectively of cross-sectional which intention was orientated to determine the consumption of Cefepime in the hospital Víctor Lazarte Echegaray in the year 2008, in order to analyze the trend of consumption and to identify possible diversions in the use of this antibiotic. The information obtained of the computer system of the hospital Víctor Lazarte Echegary. The population in study was shaped by all the records of consumption of Cefepime in the year 2008. The consumption of Cefepime for the year 2008 was of 2.21 DDD/100 Beds/Day. The Intensive Care Unit (UCI) was the highest consumption of service Cefepime with 7.35 DDD/100 Beds/Day, followed by the Intermediate Care Unit with 3.87 DDD/100 Beds /Day, the department of medicine was a consumption of 3.53 DDD/100 Beds / Day and finally the Department of Surgery with 0.74 DDD/100 Beds/Day. The trend of the consumption of Cefepime in 2008 was diminishing. The costs generated by the use of Cefepime for the institution was S /. 156558.88 New Suns
