| dc.description.abstract | Estudio cualitativo descriptivo tuvo como objetivo analizar los saberes sobre extracción manual de leche materna de las madres atendidas en el consultorio de control y crecimiento del Hospital César Vallejo Mendoza, departamento La Libertad, 2023. La muestra estuvo conformada por las madres que cumplieron los criterios de inclusión. Se aplicó la entrevista semiestructurada y observación participante. Después se transcribió, codificó y analizó los discursos surgieron tres categorías con sus subcategorías. 1. Conocimientos y prácticas sobre extracción manual de leche: Importancia de la extracción y lactancia, acciones previas para la extracción, empleo de técnica de extracción de leche y almacenamiento, conservación y administración de la leche. 2. Fuentes generadores del conocimiento: Consejería del personal de salud y medios de comunicación. 3. Derechos durante la lactancia: Hora de descanso laboral y uso del lactario institucional. Las consideraciones finales muestran los conocimientos y prácticas sobre la extracción manual de leche materna donde reconocen la importancia de la lactancia y la extracción para la salud integral del niño y la madre; aplican técnicas antes y durante el proceso de extracción y el manejo adecuado de la leche extraída para el lactante. Entre las fuentes del conocimiento están las consejerías del personal de salud y los medios de comunicación; identifican la hora de descanso laboral y el uso del lactario institucional como derechos durante la lactancia | |
| dc.description.abstract | The objective of this qualitative descriptive study was to analyze the knowledge on manual expression of breast milk of mothers attended at the growth and control clinic of the Hospital César Vallejo Mendoza, department of La Libertad, 2023. The sample consisted of mothers who met the inclusion criteria. A semi-structured interview and participant observation were applied. After the speeches were transcribed, codified and analyzed, three categories with their subcategories emerged. 1. Knowledge and practices on manual milk expression: Importance of extraction and breastfeeding, previous actions for extraction, use of milk extraction technique and storage, conservation and administration of milk. 2. Sources of knowledge: Counseling of health personnel and the media. 3. Rights during breastfeeding: Time off work and use of the institutional breastfeeding center. The final considerations show the knowledge and practices on the manual expression of breast milk where they recognize the importance of breastfeeding and extraction for the integral health of the child and the mother; they apply techniques before and during the extraction process and the adequate handling of the expressed milk for the infant. Among the sources of knowledge are the advice of health personnel and the media; they identify the time off from work and the use of the institutional breastfeeding center as rights during breastfeeding | |
