Factores maternos y conocimientos maternos sobre nutrición en niños del Hospital Regional de Trujillo

dc.descriptionThe research study, quantitative, descriptive, correlational, was conducted in the Pediatric Service of the Teaching Regional Hospital of Trujillo in the years 2016-2017, with the purpose of identifying and establishing the relationship between the level of knowledge and maternal factors: Age, educational level, Parity and Provenance, on nutrition in children aged 12 to 24 months hospitalized in the Pediatric Service in the Regional Teaching Hospital of Trujillo between the months of September 2016 to January 2017. The universe sample was constituted by 20 mothers who met the inclusion criteria established in the research. For the collection of data, 1 instrument was used: Survey of the level of maternal knowledge about feeding in children from 12 to 24 months of age. The information obtained was processed in SPSS 23.0 for windows and analyzed by means of the "Chi square" statistical test. After the analysis, the following conclusions were reached: The level of maternal knowledge about nutrition in children between 12 and 24 months hospitalized in the Pediatric Service in the Teaching Regional Hospital of Trujillo was good 55%, followed by 45% regular, in addition no mother was found having a level of low knowledge. Regarding maternal factors, the age that predominated was 41.2% between 21 and 34 years old. The level of education that predominated in the studied population was the secondary level with 58.8%, the main origin and occupation was the coast with 58.8% and housewife 51.3% respectively. There is a highly significant statistical relationship between maternal factors: age, educational level, occupation and origin with the level of maternal knowledge about nutrition.es_PE
dc.description.abstractEl estudio de investigación, de tipo cuantitativo, descriptivo, correlacional, se realizó en el Servicio de Pediatría del Hospital Regional Docente de Trujillo en los años 2016-2017, con la finalidad de Identificar y establecer la relación entre el nivel de conocimiento y los factores maternos: Edad, grado de instrucción, Paridad y Procedencia, sobre la nutrición en niños de 12 a 24 meses hospitalizados en el Servicio de Pediatría en el Hospital Regional Docente de Trujillo entre los meses de septiembre del 2016 a enero del 2017. El universo muestral estuvo constituido por 20 madres que cumplieron los criterios de inclusión establecidos en la investigación. Para la recolección de datos se utilizó 1 instrumento: Encuesta de nivel de conocimientos materno sobre nutrición en niños de 12 a 24 meses de edad. La información fue obtenida y procesada en el SPSS 23.0 para windows y analizada mediante la prueba estadística “Chi cuadrado”. Después del análisis se llegó a las siguientes conclusiones: El nivel de conocimiento materno sobre nutrición en niños entre 12 y 24 meses hospitalizados en el Servicio de Pediatría en el Hospital Regional Docente de Trujillo fue bueno el 55%, seguido de regular el 45%, además no se encontró alguna madre que tenga un nivel de conocimiento bajo. Respecto a los factores maternos la edad que predomino fue el 41.2 % entre los 21 y 34 años. El grado de instrucción que predominó en la población estudiada fue el nivel secundario con un 58.8%, la principal procedencia y ocupación fue la costa con el 58.8% y ama de casa 51.3% respectivamente. Existe relación estadística altamente significativa entre los factores maternos : edad , grado de instrucción, ocupación y procedenciaes_PE
