Abstract
El presente trabajo de investigación denominado “Ventajas del idioma inglés en el desempeño laboral del Egresado de la Escuela Profesional de Turismo, Universidad Nacional de Trujillo” tiene como principal objetivo el de Identificar las ventajas que genera el conocimiento del inglés en el desempeño laboral, por ende, la obtención de una mejora económica. Para el logro de dicho objetivo principal, se ha considerado tres objetivos específicos siendo el primero el de Coordinar con los egresados que laboran en las entidades públicas y privadas si es que dominan e interactúan haciendo uso del idioma inglés, para la realización de entrevistas estructuradas con el fin de recibir información real respecto al tema de investigación; el segundo es Explicar qué ventajas poseen los egresados de Turismo teniendo el conocimiento del idioma inglés en su desempeño laboral y; por último, Caracterizar la formación que reciben los egresados de la Escuela Profesional de Turismo respecto al Idioma Inglés. Dentro de los Métodos que se han utilizado para la investigación se ha considerado el Método Deductivo-Inductivo el cual ha permitido determinar los posibles resultados en cada actividad; por ejemplo, en la elaboración de los instrumentos se ha tenido como idea general la necesidad que tienen los egresados de turismo en conocer e interactuar con el idioma inglés para lograr ventajas competitivas en el mundo laboral; del mismo modo, se ha hecho uso del Método Analítico-Sintético el cual ha permitido determinar el grado/nivel de los egresados en cuanto a las ventajas que presenta la utilización del inglés dentro de su desarrollo laboral reflejado en sus niveles de ascenso; y finalmente, se ha hecho uso del Método Descriptivo para explicar las ventajas que brinda el idioma inglés al egresado de turismo teniendo en cuenta la competitividad laboral, el ascenso de nivel y el ingreso salarial que le otorga una mejor calidad de vida. Adicionalmente se ha hecho uso de la Técnica de Muestreo Probabilístico No Intencional para determinar el conjunto de egresados a los cuales se le ha aplicado la entrevista, dicha población ha cumplido con dos criterios; el primero es que si el egresado se encuentra laborando dentro del sector turismo y el segundo si posee conocimiento y dominio del idioma inglés. Entre los resultados se ha obtenido que la mayoría de egresados consideran que el idioma inglés es importante para el sector turismo, especialmente en las áreas en donde se tiene un contacto directo con el turista, siendo ésta la forma más notoria de demostrar competitividad laboral y, por lo tanto, obtener una mejora en sus ingresos salariales que van de moderado a satisfactorio, demostrando que el idioma inglés les genera ventajas tanto en su desarrollo laboral como económico generando una mejora en su calidad de vida. Todo ello se orienta al desarrollo del turismo local, regional e incluso nacional. Además también este aporte suscrito sirva de base para la realización de otros trabajos de investigación posteriores
ABSTRACT The present research work called "Advantages of the English language in the job performance of the Graduate of the Professional School of Tourism, National University of Trujillo" has as its main objective to identify the advantages that knowledge of English generates in job performance, for hence, obtaining an economic improvement. To achieve this main objective, three specific objectives have been considered, the first being to coordinate with graduates who work in public and private entities if they master and interact using the English language, to carry out structured interviews with the purpose of receiving real information regarding the research topic; the second is to explain what advantages Tourism graduates possess having knowledge of the English language in their work performance and; Finally, Characterize the training that graduates of the Professional School of Tourism receive regarding the English Language. Within the Methods that have been used for the investigation, the Deductive-Inductive Method has been considered, which has made it possible to determine the possible results in each activity; For example, in the elaboration of the instruments, the need for tourism graduates to know and interact with the English language has been taken as a general idea to achieve competitive advantages in the world of work; In the same way, the Analytical-Synthetic Method has been used, which has made it possible to determine the degree / level of the graduates in terms of the advantages that the use of English presents within their work development, reflected in their promotion levels; and finally, the Descriptive Method has been used to explain the advantages that the English language offers to tourism graduates, taking into account job competitiveness, level advancement and salary income that gives them a better quality of life. Additionally, the Unintentional Probabilistic Sampling Technique has been used to determine the group of graduates to whom the interview has been applied, said population has met two criteria; the first is that if the graduate is working within the tourism sector and the second if she has knowledge and command of the English language. Among the results, it has been obtained that the majority of graduates consider that the English language is important for the tourism sector, especially in areas where there is direct contact with tourists, this being the most notorious way to demonstrate labor competitiveness and, therefore, obtain an improvement in their salary income ranging from moderate to satisfactory, showing that the English language generates advantages both in their work and economic development, generating an improvement in their quality of life. All of this is aimed at the development of local, regional and even national tourism. In addition, this subscribed contribution also serves as the basis for carrying out other subsequent research Works
