dc.descriptionThis study aimed to assess the microbiological and physical-chemical quality of the sea_x000D_ water of Salaverry, Las Delicias, Buenos Aires, Huanchaquito and Huanchaco beaches,_x000D_ 2015. The evaluation was conducted during the months of April, May and June,_x000D_ considering different sampling points in each Beach through the use of coordinates of_x000D_ latitude and longitude, these points were chosen taking into account the influx of_x000D_ population. The water samples were obtained on the basis of the guidelines set forth by_x000D_ APHA, AWWA and WEF (2012) in terms of the amount, collection, conservation and_x000D_ their transportation to the laboratory as well as, its manipulation for their respective_x000D_ analysis. In relation to the microbiological analysis, certain parameters were total_x000D_ coliforms, fecal coliforms andE. coli, while the physical-chemical analysis consisted in_x000D_ the determination of pH and temperature. On average, for the three months tested, unlike_x000D_ the beaches of Salaverry and Las Delicias, on the beaches ofBuenos Aires (North, South)_x000D_ values oftotal coliforms, fecal coliforms andE. coli, were out ofprovisions ofthe national_x000D_ environmental quality standards for water as MINAM - Supreme Decree No 002-2008,_x000D_ likewise, the beaches of Huanchaquito and Huanchaco , they presented values for E. coli_x000D_ out of provisions; all this is probably due to the anthropogenic effect. In contrast to April,_x000D_ temperatures in all the beaches were higher during the months of May and June,_x000D_ fluctuating between 21.6 - 22.7 °C, while pH values were higher in the beaches of_x000D_ Huanchaquito (7.0- 7.2) and Huanchaco (7.0- 7.2). By the results obtained in relation to_x000D_ E. coli, it can be concluded that the beaches of Buenos Aires, Huanchaquito and_x000D_ Huanchaco, present a potential risk of contamination for the community who lives next_x000D_ door and bathers, fact that may become critica! if corrective measures are not taken to_x000D_ reduce the microbialload.es_PE
dc.description.abstractEste trabajo de investigación tuvo como finalidad evaluar la calidad_x000D_ microbiológica y fisico-química del agua de mar de las playas de Salaverry, Las Delicias,_x000D_ Buenos Aires, Huanchaquito y Huanchaco, 2015. La evaluación se realizó durante los_x000D_ meses de Abril, Mayo y Junio, considerándose diferentes puntos de muestreo en cada_x000D_ playa mediante el uso de coordenadas de latitud y longitud, estos puntos fueron elegidos_x000D_ teniendo en cuenta la afluencia de la población. Las muestras de agua se obtuvieron en_x000D_ base a las pautas indicadas por A WW A, APHA y WEF (2012) en cuanto a la cantidad,_x000D_ recolección, conservación y su transporte al laboratorio, así como, su manipulación para_x000D_ su respectivo análisis. En relación al análisis microbiológico, los parámetros_x000D_ determinados fueron coliformes totales, coliformes fecales y E. coli, mientras que el_x000D_ análisis fisico-químico consistió en la determinación del pH y temperatura. En promedio,_x000D_ durante los tres meses evaluados, a diferencia de las playas de Salaverry y Las Delicias,_x000D_ en las playas de Buenos Aires (Norte, Sur) los valores de coliformes totales, coliformes_x000D_ fecales y E. coli, estuvieron fuera de lo establecido en los Estándares Nacionales de_x000D_ Calidad Ambiental para Agua según MINAM - Decreto Supremo No 002-2008, así_x000D_ mismo, las playas de Huanchaquito y Huanchaco, presentaron valores para E. coli fuera_x000D_ de lo establecido; todo esto probablemente por causa del efecto antropogénico. En_x000D_ contraste al mes de Abril, los valores de temperatura en todas las playas fueron superiores durante los meses de Mayo y Junio fluctuando entre 21.6 - 22.7 °C, mientras que los valores de pH fueron superiores en las playas de Huanchaquito (7.0 - 7.2) y Huanchaco (7.0- 7.2). Por los resultados obtenidos en relación a E. coli, se puede concluir que las playas de Buenos Aires, Huanchaquito y Huanchaco, presentan un potencial riesgo de contaminación para la comunidad que vive contigua y para los bañistas, hecho que puede volverse crítico si no se toman medidas correctivas para disminuir la carga microbiana.es_PE
