Abstract

The laboratory larvicultura had an installed capacity of 400 000 larvae per batch, getting survival of 55% of 28-31 days of culture at temperatures of 28-30 ° C, salinity of 14 ppt and pH 7.4 to 7.6. The process of acclimatization was performed at salinity of 10 and 3 ppt with a time of 1 day in each pool and a strengthening of 0 ppt of 2 to 3 days at 26 °C and pH 7.6, obtaining 68% survival. Raising the pre lasted 30 to 35 days with survival of 47%, with variations of temperatures between 23 to 30 °C, the average temperature of 26 °C. While the estimates production for a batch of 400 000 larvae, resulted a value of 3.6 MT/month of shrimp from the sixth month of culture, occupying a total area of 7.9 ha of water surface.
