| dc.description | The current, descriptive, cross-sectional investigation whose purpose is to establish the relationship between the degree of anxiety and the level of information in hospitalized users in the preoperative phase in the surgery service at the Eleazar Guzmán Barrón Regional Hospital, Chimbote during the months October, November and December 2018. Sustained in the Neuman Systems Model and the Cognitive Development Theory by Jean Piaget. The sample consisted of 48 users in the preoperative phase of the surgery service; to whom the instruments were applied: Scale of self-assessment of anxiety and questionnaire on the level of information in users in the preoperative phase. The information was processed using the Statisctics 25 IBM statistical package using the Chi-square statistical test and the statistical gamma test. The results obtained show that there is a statistically significant relationship between the degree of anxiety and the level of information. 81% of users who have low level of information, 25% have a mild degree of anxiety and 56% have moderate; of 19% of users who have a high level of information, 15% have a mild degree of anxiety and 4% have moderate. | dc.description.abstract | La actual investigación, descriptiva de corte transversal cuyo propósito es establecer la relación entre el grado de ansiedad y el nivel de información en usuarios hospitalizados en fase preoperatoria en el servicio de cirugía en el Hospital Regional Eleazar Guzmán Barrón, Chimbote durante los meses Octubre, Noviembre y Diciembre 2018. Sostenida en el Modelo de los Sistemas de Neuman y la Teoría del Desarrollo Cognoscitivo de Jean Piaget. La muestra estuvo conformada por 48 usuarios en fase preoperatorio del servicio de cirugía; a quienes se les aplicó los instrumentos: Escala de autoevaluación de la ansiedad y cuestionario sobre el nivel de información en usuarios en fase preoperatoria. Se procesó la información empleando el Statisctics 25 paquete estadístico IBM mediante la prueba estadística Chi cuadrado y la prueba gamma estadística. Los resultados obtenidos muestran que si existe relación estadísticamente significativa entre el grado de ansiedad y nivel de información. El 81% de los usuarios que tienen nivel de información bajo, el 25% tienen un grado de ansiedad leve y el 56% tienen moderada; del 19% de los usuarios que tienen un nivel de información alto, el 15% tienen un grado de ansiedad leve y el 4% tienen moderada.
