Abstract
La presente investigación de enfoque cuantitativo, descriptivo, correlacional, de corte transversal, se realizó con el propósito de determinar la relación que existe entre el nivel de conocimiento sobre factores de riesgo y las prácticas de prevención del cáncer de cuello uterino en adultas, en el Puesto de Salud Virgen Asunta, Chachapoyas, Amazonas. La muestra estuvo constituida por 177 adultas a quienes se les aplico los instrumentos: Cuestionario nivel de conocimiento sobre factores de riesgo del cáncer de cuello uterino y cuestionario de prácticas de prevención del cáncer de cuello uterino. Los resultados del nivel de conocimiento de los factores de riesgo modificables del cáncer de cuello uterino, fue medio en un 78.53%, bajo en un 14.69% y solo el 6.78% fue alto, en relación a los conocimientos de los factores de riesgo no modificables se encontraron que, el 58.8% tienen conocimiento medio, el 23,7% nivel alto y 17.5 % nivel bajo. Con respecto a las prácticas preventivas de cáncer de cuello uterino tuvieron el 66,7% practicas inadecuadas y el 33.3% prácticas adecuadas. Existe relación altamente significativa entre las variables, con un valor de Chi cuadrado de 14.647 (p < 0.01)
The present research with a quantitative, descriptive, correlational, cross-sectional approach was carried out with the purpose of determining the relationship that exists between the level of knowledge about risk factors and cervical cancer prevention practices in adults, in the Virgen Asunta Health Post, Chachapoyas, Amazonas. The sample consisted of 177 adults who were administered the instruments: Questionnaire level of knowledge about risk factors for cervical cancer and questionnaire on cervical cancer prevention practices. The results of the level of knowledge of the modifiable risk factors for cervical cancer were medium in 78.53%, low in 14.69% and only 6.78% was high, in relation to the knowledge of non-modifiable risk factors. It was found that 58.8% have medium knowledge, 23.7% high level and 17.5% low level. Regarding cervical cancer preventive practices, 66.7% had inadequate practices and 33.3% had adequate practices. There is a highly significant relationship between the variables, with a Chi square value of 14.647 (p < 0.01).
