Abstract
El objetivo de la presente investigación fue evaluar la frecuencia de consumo de alimentos de los niños del sector Víctor Raúl II etapa-El Porvenir en la pandemia 2021. La población estuvo conformada por 30 niños de 3 a 11 años de edad, es un estudio descriptivo de corte transversal donde se evaluó la frecuencia de consumo de nueve grupos de alimentos los que fueron analizados y categorizados según consumo poco frecuente, diario y semanal. En la categoría de alimentos de consumo diario: Verduras, frutas, leche, yogurt, queso se encontró que el 53, 83, 4, 6 y 3% de los niños consume estos alimentos con una frecuencia recomendada. En cuanto a los alimentos de consumo semanal, se encontró que solamente el 4, 33, 30 y 23 % de los niños estaría consumiendo pescado, pollo, huevos y legumbres con una frecuencia adecuada. Mientras que en el caso los alimentos de consumo poco frecuente: alimentos altos en azúcar y sal, grasas y comidas rápidas el 3, 87 y 80 % de los niños los estaría consumiendo con una frecuencia mayor a lo recomendado y el 20 % de los niños están consumiendo estos alimentos con una frecuencia excesiva. Se concluye que la mayoría de niños consumen lácteos, carnes, huevos y legumbres con una frecuencia menor a la recomendada y los alimentos altos en azúcar y sal con una frecuencia sobre lo recomendado, finalmente más del 50% de los niños consume frutas y verduras con la frecuencia recomendada.
ABSTRACT The objective of this research was to evaluate the frequency of food consumption of children in the Víctor Raúl II stage-El Porvenir sector during the 2021 pandemic. The population consisted of 30 children from 3 to 11 years old, it is a descriptive cross-sectional study where the frequency of consumption of nine food groups was evaluated, which were categorized and analyzed according to daily, weekly and infrequent consumption. In the category of foods consumed daily: vegetables, fruits, milk, yogurt, cheese, it was found that 53, 83, 4, 6 and 3% of the children consumed these foods with a recommended frequency. Regarding weekly consumption foods, it was found that only 4, 33, 33, 30 and 23% of the children would be consuming fish, chicken, eggs and legumes with an adequate frequency. While in the case of infrequently consumed foods: fats, fast foods and foods high in sugar and salt 3, 87 and 80 % of the children would be consuming them more frequently than recommended and 20 % of the children are consuming these foods with excessive frequency. It is concluded that most children consume dairy products, meats, eggs and legumes less frequently than recommended and foods high in sugar and salt more frequently than recommended, finally more than 50% of the children consume fruits and vegetables with the recommended frequency.
