dc.descriptionThe objective of this report is to evaluate: “Prescription Errors in the Internal Medicine Service of the at the Víctor Lazarte Echegaray Hospital, September 2018 - February 2019”, the prescriptions of the medicine service in patients with all types of treatments were analyzed in contrast to the Manual of Good Practices of Prescription of the General Directorate of Medicinal Products and Drugs and the Manual of Good Practices of Prescription of the World Health Organization, and thus elaborate our data collection sheet taking as reference points the characteristics that must contain all medical prescriptions and achieve measure the magnitude of inappropriate prescriptions in a sample of 371 recipes being our universe. In prescription errors related to patient data, it was obtained: medical act 14% and patient names 15.6%; In prescription errors related to drug data, we obtained: unapproved abbreviations 86%, pharmaceutical form 82.5%, concentration 38.2%, route of administration 34.8%, frequency 28.8% and DCI 17.8%; and finally in prescription errors related to the planillón or format it was obtained: illegibility of the recipe 41% and use of inappropriate format 9.2%. Concluding that there is a large percentage of non-compliance with good prescription practices, whether due to error or omission in the medical service of the Víctor Lazarte Echegaray Hospitales_PE
dc.description.abstractEl objetivo del presente informe es evaluar: “Errores de Prescripción en el Servicio de Medicina Interna del Hospital Víctor Lazarte Echegaray, setiembre 2018 – febrero 2019, para ello se analizaron las recetas del servicio de medicina en pacientes con todo tipo de tratamientos, y se contrasto con el Manual de Buenas Prácticas de Prescripción de la Dirección General de Medicamentos Insumos y Drogas y el Manual de Buenas Prácticas de Prescripción de la Organización Mundial de la Salud, se elaboró la ficha de recolección de datos tomando como puntos referenciales las características que debe contener toda receta médica y lograr medir la magnitud de prescripciones inadecuadas en una muestra de 371 recetas. En errores de prescripción relacionado a datos del paciente se obtuvo: acto médico 14% y nombres del paciente 15,6%; en errores de prescripción relacionado a datos del medicamento se obtuvo: abreviaturas no aprobadas 86%, forma farmacéutica 82,5%, concentración 38,2%, vía de administración 34,8%, frecuencia 28,8% y DCI 17,8%; y finalmente en errores de prescripción relacionado al planillón o formato se obtuvo: ilegibilidad de la receta 41% y uso de formato inadecuado 9,2%. Concluyendo que existe un gran porcentaje de errores de prescripción, ya sea por error u omisión en el servicio de medicina del Hospital Víctor Lazarte Echegarayes_PE
