dc.descriptionIn the research seeks to identify the relationship of intestinal parasitosis and anemia in schoolchildren of the I.E. Nª38054 of Totora. The sample of 41 schoolchildren consisted of 24 women (58.5%) and 17 men (41.5%). The ages of the participants were between 6 and 9 years old (M = 7.42, SD = 1.16). The research design was non-experimental, the univariate and bivariate analysis were performed, considering a level of confidence at 95% and a significant value with a P value of less 0.05. The percentage of intestinal parasitosis was identified, it is appreciated that most of them (56.1%) did not present parasitism. Of the remaining 43.9%, the majority were cases of monoparasite infections. Only 3 participants had multiparasitic infections, which constituted 7.3% of the sample. The most frequent type of parasite was that of monoparasite infection by Giardia lamblia, which constituted 55.6% of the cases observed. This showed that the association between both variables is not statistically significant, χ² (1) = 2.38, p = .123. Similarly, the phi coefficient showed a relatively low value, φ = .241. Finally, the natural logarithm of the odds ratio also shows that anemia has the same probability of occurring regardless of whether or not a parasitism is present: log OR = 1.11, 95% CI [-0.33, 2.54].es_PE
dc.description.abstractEn la investigación busca identificar la relación de parasitosis intestinal y la anemia en escolares de la I.E. Nª38054 de Totora. La muestra de 41 escolares estuvo conformada por 24 mujeres (58.5%) y 17 varones (41.5%). Las edades de los participantes se hallaron entre los 6 y los 9 años (M = 7.42, DE = 1.16). El diseño de investigación fue no experimental, se realizó el análisis univariado y bivariado, considerando un nivel de confianza al 95% y un valor significativo con un valor de P menor 0.05. Se identificó el porcentaje de parasitosis intestinal, se aprecia que la mayoría de ellos (56.1%) no presentaron parasitosis. Del 43.9% restante, la mayoría fueron casos de infecciones monoparásito. Solo 3 participantes presentaron infecciones multiparásito, lo cual constituyó el 7.3% de la muestra. El tipo de parásitos más frecuente fue el de infección monoparásito por Giardia lamblia, el cual constituyó el 55.6% de los casos observados. Esta mostró que la asociación entre ambas variables no es estadísticamente significativa, χ²(1) = 2.38, p = .123. De manera similar, el coeficiente phi mostró un valor relativamente bajo, φ = .241. Finalmente, el logaritmo natural de la odds ratio también que la anemia tiene la misma probabilidad de ocurrir independientemente de que esté o no presente una parasitosis: log OR = 1.11, IC 95% [-0.33, 2.54].es_PE
