Abstract
Estudio realizado para conocer la relación entre los conocimientos y prácticas en el
“manejo de residuos hospitalarios” en trabajadores del servicio de emergencia.
Estudio de tipo no experimental, corte transversal y diseño correlacional. La muestra
estuvo conformada por un total de 66 trabajadores del servicio de emergencia de un
hospital en Cajamarca. Para la recolección de datos se utilizó el “Inventario
Evaluativo de Conocimientos sobre el Manejo de Residuos Sólidos en Hospitales
(IECMRSH) y el Cuestionario de Autorreferencia sobre las prácticas del personal en
el manejo de los residuos sólidos en hospitales. Los resultados muestran Coef.
Pearson 0,336 y p valor=0,007 (significancia) (IC 95%); conocimientos óptimos en
86,30% y prácticas buenas en el 68,20% de los participantes. Se concluye que existe
relación entre las variables estudiadas. Los conocimientos fueron óptimos y las
prácticas buenas
