Abstract
Los trastornos hipertensivos del embarazo dentro de ellos la preeclampsia, representan un problema de salud mundial, siendo la segunda causa de morbimortalidad materna. Así mismo representa altos costos para el servicio de salud y es responsable de múltiples complicaciones materno perinatales.
El manejo de la patología es multifactorial durante el embarazo, pudiendo extenderse incluso al periodo de puerperio. Durante este periodo es frecuente y relevante el diagnóstico, seguimiento y tratamiento de esta patología por las complicaciones que puede causar a corto y largo plazo.
El tratamiento antihipertensivo difiere durante el periodo de gestación y puerperio. Siendo en este último periodo, donde no se tiene un consenso establecido en relación al tipo de antihipertensivo oral a utilizar.
Es relevante continuar realizando estudios que permita obtener mejor panorama en relación a tipo de antihipertensivo a utilizar durante el puerperio y que no interfiera con la lactancia materna.
Hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, including preeclampsia, represent a worldwide health problem, being the second cause of maternal morbidity and mortality. It also represents high costs for the health service and is responsible for multiple maternal and perinatal complications. The management of the pathology is multifactorial during pregnancy, and may even extend to the puerperium period. During this period it is frequent and relevant the diagnosis, follow-up and treatment of this pathology due to the complications it can cause in the short and long term. Antihypertensive treatment differs during pregnancy and puerperium. In the latter period, there is no established consensus on the type of oral antihypertensive drug to be used. It is important to continue to carry out studies that will allow us to obtain a better view of the type of antihypertensive drug to be used during the puerperium and that does not interfere with breastfeeding.
