Efecto de la harina de semillas de Vitis vinifera sobre los parámetros productivos y morfometría intestinal en pavos

Abstract
El objetivo de este estudio fue evaluar el efecto de la harina de semillas de Vitis vinifera sobre los parámetros productivos y la morfometría intestinal en pavos. Se utilizaron 80 pavos machos distribuidos en un diseño completamente al azar con cuatro tratamientos: T0 (control ), T1 (0.05%), T2 (0.10%) y T3 (0.15% de harina de semillas). Durante 12 semanas, se registró semanalmente el consumo de alimento y el peso vivo, calculándose la conversión alimenticia. Al finalizar, se sacrificaron dos pavos por tratamiento para analizar la altura de vellosidades, profundidad de criptas y su relación en el duodeno mediante histología. Los datos se analizaron mediante ANOVA y la prueba de Tukey (p < 0.05). Los resultados mostraron que T3 obtuvo la mayor ganancia de peso (10.2 ± 0.5 kg vs. 8.1 ± 0.4 kg en T0; p < 0.05) y la mejor conversión alimenticia (1.95 ± 0.10 vs. 2.35 ± 0.12 en T0; p < 0.05). Además, T3 presentó vellosidades más altas (1250 ± 10 µm vs. 980 ± 40 µm en T0) y menor profundidad de criptas (180 ± 5 µm vs. 220 ± 15 µm en T0), con una relación vellosidad/cripta de 6.95 ± 0.10 (p < 0.05). Estos hallazgos demuestran que la inclusión del 0.15% de harina de semillas de Vitis vinifera mejora significativamente el rendimiento productivo y la salud intestinal en pavos, ofreciendo una alternativa viable a los promotores de crecimiento sintéticos. El estudio aporta evidencia cuantitativa para la valorización de subproductos vitivinícolas, promoviendo prácticas sostenibles en avicultura.
ABSTRACT This study aimed to evaluate the effect of Vitis vinifera seed meal on productive parameters and intestinal morphometry in turkeys. Eighty male turkeys were randomly allocated into four treatments: T0 (control), T1 (0.05%), T2 (0.10%), and T3 (0.15% seed meal). Over 12 weeks, feed intake and body weight were recorded weekly, and the feed conversion ratio was calculated. At the end, two turkeys per treatment were euthanized to analyze duodenal villus height, crypt depth, and their ratio through histology. Data were analyzed using ANOVA and Tukey’s test (p < 0.05). Results indicated that T3 achieved the highest weight gain (10.2 ± 0.5 kg vs. 8.1 ± 0.4 kg in T0; p < 0.05) and the best feed conversion ratio (1.95 ± 0.10 vs. 2.35 ± 0.12 in T0; p < 0.05). Furthermore, T3 exhibited taller villi (1250 ± 10 µm vs. 980 ± 40 µm in T0) and shallower crypts (180 ± 5 µm vs. 220 ± 15 µm in T0), with a villus/crypt ratio of 6.95 ± 0.10 (p < 0.05). These results demonstrate that 0.15% Vitis vinifera seed meal significantly enhances productive performance and intestinal health in turkeys, providing a sustainable alternative to synthetic growth promoters. The study offers quantitative evidence for the use of viticultural by-products in poultry nutrition, supporting eco-efficient practices.
