Abstract
El objetivo de este trabajo fue describir la cosecha y poscosecha de cuatro variedades de vaccinium sp en Viru, La Libertad’’; la metodología utilizada fue mediante la recopilación de información y experiencia en campo de arándanos de un año de instalado, las variedades estudiadas fueron: Emerald, Ventura, Snowchaser y Biloxi. Mediante este trabajo de investigacion se concluye que la variedad Ventura es la que presentó mejores condiciones de cosecha y poscosecha, esto se debe al tamaño de fruto que va de un calibre de 18-21 mm, el cual facilitaba una mejor y más rápida recolección de la fruta, la mínima cantidad de descarte que producía, ya que no tenía problemas de desgarro o sobre madures, su tasa de traspiración era menor, su pérdida de pruina era muy bajo, por lo que el fruta cumplía con los estándares de calidad ; mientras que la variedad Snowchaser fue la que produjo mayor cantidad de descarte, al ser una fruta de difícil manipulación debido a la fragilidad de la baya, la sobre madures del fruto, perdida de pruina, el fácil desgarro y rajado del fruto.
Description
The objective of this work was to describe the harvest and post-harvest of four varieties of vaccinium sp in Viru, La Libertad "; the methodology used was through the compilation of information and experience in field of blueberries of one year of installed, the varieties studied were: Emerald, Ventura, Snowchaser and Biloxi._x000D_
Through this research work it is concluded that the variety Ventura is the one that presented the best harvest and post-harvest conditions, this is due to the fruit size that goes from 18-21 mm caliber, which facilitated a better and faster collection of the fruit, the minimum amount of discarding that it produced, since it did not have tear or maturity problems, its transpiration rate was lower, its loss of pruina was very low, reason why the fruit complied with the quality standards; while the variety snowchaser was the one that produced the greatest amount of discarding, being a fruit difficult to handle due to the fragility of the berry, the over maturity of the fruit, loss of pruina, the easy tearing and cracking of the fruit.
