| dc.description | To determine the prevalence of periodontal disease and need for treatment in pregnant women at the District Hospital II - 1 Laredo - Trujillo. Period January - April 2014. Material and Methods: A transversal, descriptive and observational cut; the study population consisted of the total of pregnant women attending for care at Hospital District II - 1 Laredo - Trujillo; during the months of January to April 2014. Results: Al on the prevalence of periodontal disease in pregnant women determined according to the CPITN, it appears that 79.6 % of pregnant women have some degree of periodontal disease instituted; still code 2, 59.1 % with the highest incidence; therefore there is a higher prevalence of treatment need NT2, with 61.4 %; followed by the need for treatment NT1 with 18.2 %, while there is no need for treatment ( NT0 ) in 20.4 % of pregnant women; and no pregnant woman was found in need of treatment NT4. Conclusions: We found that periodontal disease does not differ in the different trimesters. There is a predominance of NT2 need for treatment in pregnant women evaluated; is need for prophylaxis and RAR, according to an identifying code 2 and 3 respectively | es_PE |
| dc.description.abstract | Determinar la prevalencia de enfermedad periodontal y necesidad de tratamiento en gestantes atendidas en el Hospital Distrital II – 1 Laredo – Trujillo. Periodo Enero – Abril 2014. Material y Métodos: Estudio de corte transversal, descriptivo y observacional; la población en estudio estuvo conformada por el total de gestantes que acudieron para su atención al Hospital Distrital II – 1 Laredo – Trujillo; durante los meses de Enero a Abril del 2014. Resultados: Al respecto de la prevalencia de enfermedad periodontal en las gestantes determinada según el INTPC, se evidencia que el 79.6% de las gestantes presentan algún grado de enfermedad periodontal instaurada; siendo el código 2, con un 59.1% el de mayor incidencia; por ende, hay una mayor prevalencia de necesidad de tratamiento NT2, con 61.4%; seguido de la necesidad de tratamiento NT1 con 18.2%, mientras que no hay necesidad de tratamiento (NT0) en el 20.4% de las gestantes; y no se encontró ninguna gestante con necesidad de tratamiento NT4. Conclusiones: Se encontró que la enfermedad periodontal no difiere en los diferentes trimestres de gestación. Hay un predominio de la necesidad de tratamiento NT2, en las gestantes evaluadas; es decir necesidad de profilaxis y RAR, según se identifique un código 2 y 3 respectivamente | es_PE |
