dc.descriptionThe objective of the present study was to evaluate the incidence of Enterobacter sakazakii in infant formulas of powdered milk of the Hospital II Chocope - EsSalud, from July to October - 2016. Which were taken from the storage area and preparation of powdered infant formulas for patients admitted to the Hospital. The samples were then taken to the hospital's Microbiology laboratory where microbiological assays were performed to identify Enterobacter sakazakii. Protocols recommended by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the isolation and identification of Enterobacter sakazakii in infant formulas were followed._x000D_ In the final stage of biochemical confirmation was performed in an automated way in MicroScan Walk Away 96 SI, no Enterobacter sakazakii was found in any sample, although it was detected the presence of another bacterium of the family Enterobacteriaceae in samples of infant formulas of milk powdered.es_PE
dc.description.abstractEl objetivo del presente estudio fue evaluar la incidencia de Enterobacter sakazakii en las fórmulas infantiles de leche en polvo de los servicios de maternidad y pediatría del Hospital II Chocope – EsSalud, julio a octubre - 2016, para ello se trabajaron un total de 48 muestras las cuales fueron tomadas del área de almacenamiento y preparación de fórmulas infantiles en polvo destinadas a pacientes ingresados al hospital. Luego, las muestras fueron llevadas al laboratorio de Microbiología del hospital, donde se procedió a realizar los análisis microbiológicos para identificar Enterobacter sakazakii. Se siguieron protocolos recomendados por la Food and Drug Administration (FDA) para aislamiento e identificación de Enterobacter sakazakii en fórmulas infantiles en polvo. En la etapa final de confirmación bioquímica se realizó de forma automatizada en MicroScan Walk Away 96 SI, no se encontró en ninguna muestra a Enterobacter sakazakii, aunque sí se detectó la presencia de otra bacteria de la familia Enterobacteriaceae en las muestras de fórmulas infantiles de leche en polvo.es_PE
