Abstract
The objective of this research was to establish the relationship between coping strategies and the level of work stress of nurses in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic at the Víctor Soles García Hospital, 2022. With a quantitative, descriptive-correlational approach; The sample consisted of 30 nurses and two instruments were used: Nursing Stress Scale - NSS and the Brief COPE 28 Coping Strategies Questionnaire. The presentation of results was in single and double entry tables where it was evident that 66% of the total number of nurses had a medium level of coping strategies and 33.3% had a low level; Regarding the level of stress, the majority of the nurses presented a medium level with 53.3%, followed by the high and low stress level in equal percentages of 23.3% each; Spearman's Rho Coefficient was used for statistical correlation, through which it was concluded that there is a relationship between both study variables (p of 0.044).
