dc.descriptionThe present investigation work has as purpose to determine the influence of the didactic method based on the solution of problems and the Winplot Applied Program, in the academic performance of the students of the Faculty of Civil Engineering in the subject of mathematics I of the National University Santiago Antunez de Mayolo 2006-I. The population of study is conformed by 54 students of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, of the first cycle, registered in the course of mathematics I in the semester 2006 - I, of which two groups were formed: A ( control group) and B ( experimental group) . The quasi-experimental design was used by virtue of that both groups were not selected aleatorily. The didactic method based on the solution of pro blems was applied to the experimental group and the Winplot Applied Program, and the traditional method to the control group .At the beginning of the academic semester 2006 -I, in both groups, a test was applied to know the intellectual coefficient of the students, then the was evaluated pre-test (for didactic unit) and a post - test at the end of each didactic unit of both groups were. We conclude that the application of the didactic method based on solution of problems and the Winplot Applied Program in the subject of mathematics I, influences in the academic performance of the students, in a significant way, in comparison with the traditional method.es_PE
dc.description.abstractEl presente trabajo de investigación tiene como propósito determinar la influencia del Método Didáctico Basado en Resolución de Problemas y el Programa Aplicativo Winplot, en el Rendimiento Académico de los estudiantes de la Facultad de Ingenierí a Civil en la Asignatura de Matemática I de la Universidad Nacional Santiago Antunez de mayolo. 2006-I. La población en estudio está conformada por 54 alumnos de la Facultad de Ingeniería Civil, del primer ciclo, matriculados en el curso de Matemática I e n el semestre lectivo 2006-I, de los cuales se formaron dos grupos: Grupo A (grupo de control) y Grupo B (grupo experimental). Se utilizo el diseño cuasi -experimental en virtud de que ambos grupos no fueron seleccionados aleatoriamente. Al grupo experimental se le aplicó el Método Didáctico Basado en Resolución de Problemas y el Programa Aplicativo Winplot, y al grupo de Control el Método Tradicional. Al iniciar el semestre académico 2 006 – I en ambos grupos se aplicó un Test para conocer el coeficiente intelectual de los alumnos, luego se evaluó el Pre – Test (por unidad didáctica) y un post-test al final de cada unidad didáctica a ambos grupos. Se verificó que la aplicación del Método Didáctico Basado en Resolución de Problemas y el Programa Aplicativo Winplot en la asignatura de Matemática I, influye en el Rendimiento Académico de los estudiantes, de manera significativa, en comparación con el Método Tradicional.es_PE
