Abstract

The type of research was quantitative, nonexperimental, with an explanatory and correlational, cross-sectional design. The techniques used were observation, using the analysis of documentary sources, and the survey, which was carried out using a questionnaire. The population and sample were coincident with 39 officials of the District Municipality of Pacasmayo; Likewise, the data analysis was done using the hypothesis testing and contrast statistics of the variables under study, referred to Chi Square, the Pearson coefficient (R) and the Regression coefficient (R2). The results found were that the level of expenditure execution was efficient (85.02%); the efficiency of social spending, of the order of 61.61%; The level of quality of life of the population of the Pacasmayo district was 34.09%, in terms of access to public services; The relationship between public spending and the impact on the quality of life of the population of the Pacasmayo district is inverse, very low (R=-0.302), and not significant (p=0.511>0.05). It is concluded that there is no significant statistical difference between the investment of the District Municipality of Pacasmayo and the level of quality of life of its population, in terms of access to public services (Chi Square=0.227>0.05). (ChiSquare=0.227>0.05).
