| dc.description | Despite the numerous studies published to date, there are still “gaps” in the scientific evidence of the effects of neuromuscular bandage (NMV). Regarding the treatment of the metatarsal adduct through its use and being such a young technique, it is quantitatively scarce, with few studies published to date recommending this technique as the first conservative treatment option. Objective: To determine if the neuromuscular bandage is effective as an adjunctive treatment in metatarsal adduct in children. To this end, the research question is the following: What is the efficacy of the neuromuscular bandage as an adjunctive treatment in relation to conventional physical therapy in children with metatarsal adduct? The research question is answered using the following methodology: type of experimental, prospective, comparative longitudinal section study, with the following procedure: Physical examination will be performed on patients with metatarsal adduct, separating them into 2 groups. Physical therapy will be scheduled for both groups. conventional 2 times a week for a period of 2 months. The neuromuscular tape will be applied to the selected group, changing every three days for a period of 2 months. Both groups will be evaluated at 1 and 2 months, recording the changes in the functionality of the foot on the data collection sheet. Then a check-up will be carried out at the 4th month, the latter two without conventional physical therapy and without a neuromuscular bandage. | es_PE |
| dc.description.abstract | A pesar de los numerosos estudios publicados hasta la actualidad, todavía quedan “lagunas” en lo que a la evidencia científica de los efectos del vendaje neuromuscular (VNM) respecta. Con respecto al tratamiento del metatarso aducto mediante su uso y al ser una técnica tan joven es escasa cuantitativamente siendo pocos los estudios publicados hasta la fecha en los que se recomienda esta técnica como la primera opción de tratamiento conservador. Objetivo: Determinar si el vendaje neuromuscular es eficaz como tratamiento coadyuvante en metatarso aducto en niños. Con este fin la pregunta de investigación es la siguiente: ¿Cuál es la eficacia del vendaje neuromuscular como tratamiento coadyuvante en relación a la terapia física convencional en niños con metatarso aducto? La pregunta de la investigación se responde utilizando la siguiente metodología: tipo de estudio experimental, prospectivo, comparativo corte longitudinal, con el siguiente procedimiento: Se realizará examen físico a pacientes con metatarso aducto, separándolos en 2 grupos A ambos grupos se les programara terapia física convencional 2 veces por semana por el periodo de 2 meses. Se aplicará la cinta neuromuscular al grupo seleccionado, cambiándose cada tres días por un periodo de 2 meses. Se evaluará a ambos grupos a los 1 y 2 meses registrando los cambios en la funcionalidad del pie en la ficha de recolección de datos. Luego se realizará un control al 4to mes, estos dos últimos sin terapia física convencional y sin vendaje neuromuscular. | es_PE |
