Abstract
The study was guided by the analysis of what family practices are like in the care of children with bronchial asthma in the COVID-19 pandemic at the San Martin de Porres Health Center. The methodological approach of the study was qualitative, descriptive, exploratory, whose theoretical referents were Leininger, Waldow and Mayeroff. The collection of information was carried out through an in-depth interview, selecting eight relatives based on ethical criteria and theoretical saturation of the discourse, classified into three categories: A) Adaptation in caring behavior to preserve health with subcategories such as: Coping with the environment family - Maintenance and family commitment, B) Modification of the family lifestyle in the care of the child with bronchial asthma expressed in the subcategories: Formation of habits - Disposition for protection avoiding contagion and finally C) Strengthening to maintain care in COVID-19 pandemic embodied in COVID-19 contingency activities and Family Isolation. The analysis of the information shows how prolonged interactional and communicative dynamics at home consolidates care practices; especially with regard to families more focused on the well-being of their children with bronchial asthma
