dc.descriptionThe present investigation studied the influence of the load of balls and the time of residence in the mill on the percentage of recovery of the zinc sulphide mineral type marmatite, with the purpose of obtaining the optimum values of recovery of zinc, in the flotation. The experiment was carried out in the Mineral Processing Laboratory of the Academic-Professional School of Metallurgical Engineering. The experimental design proposed for this investigation was, the complete bi-factorial design (2 independent variables) and with 2 replicates for each test performed, making a total of 18 experimental runs. The levels of the independent variables were, for the distribution of balls of size 1 ", 1 ½", 2 "in the load of the mill were 10% 50% 40%; 15% 55% 30%, 20% 55% 25%; and for the residence time in the mill, 12, 15 and 18 minutes. According to the results processed by the analysis of variance in the SPSS statistic, the ball load and the residence time in the mill have a significant influence (p-value: 0.000), on the recovery percentage of the zinc sulphide ore type marmatite ; being the load of balls 15% 55% 30% and the time of residence in the mill of 18 minutes the levels that gave the best results, 62.56 and 64.65 %.es_PE
dc.description.abstractLa presente investigación estudió la Influencia de la carga de bolas y el tiempo de residencia en el molino sobre el porcentaje de recuperación por flotación del mineral de sulfuro de zinc tipo marmatita, con la finalidad de obtener los valores óptimos de recuperación de zinc. el experimento se realizó en el Laboratorio de Procesamiento de minerales del departamento Académico-Profesional de Ingeniería Metalúrgica. El diseño experimental propuesto para esta investigación fue un diseño bifactorial completo (2 variables independientes) y con 2 réplicas por cada prueba realizada, haciendo un total de 18 corridas experimentales. Los niveles de las variables independientes fueron, para la distribución de bolas de tamaño 1”, 1 ½”, 2” en la carga del molino fueron 10% 50% 40%; 15% 55% 30%; 20% 55% 25%; y para el tiempo de residencia en el molino, 12, 15 y 18 minutos. Según los resultados procesados por el análisis de varianza en el estadístico SPSS, la distribución de bolas y el tiempo de residencia en el molino tienen influencia significativa (p-valor: 0.000), sobre el porcentaje de recuperación del mineral de sulfuro de zinc tipo marmatita; siendo la carga de bolas 15% 55% 30% y el tiempo de residencia en el molino de 18 minutos los niveles que arrojaron los mejores resultados de 62.56 y 64.65 %.es_PE
