| dc.description | The present qualitative research with a descriptive approach, aimed to describe and understand the experiences of nursing students as mothers with children under five years of age. The study sample consisted of sixteen nursing students who met the selection criteria. The data collection was carried out in virtual form through the semi-structured interview, and the data obtained were analyzed through Emic and Etic, selecting, reducing and classifying them, obtaining the categories indicated below: "Assimilating motherhood", explained by emotions when receiving the news of pregnancy, learning to take responsibility for the care of your child and apply nursing knowledge. Another category is the "support from the environment" evidenced by the help of the partner, family, teachers and classmates. There is also the category "facing different roles" of mother and student. The "frustration at not fully fulfilling the role of mother and student" because they feel that they do not spend enough time with their child but try to provide quality care. | dc.description.abstract | La presente investigación cualitativa con abordaje descriptivo, tuvo como objetivo describir y comprender las vivencias de las estudiantes de enfermería como madres con niños menores de cinco años. La muestra de estudio estuvo conformada por dieciséis estudiantes de enfermería que cumplieron con los criterios de selección. La recolección de datos se realizó en forma virtual por medio de la entrevista semiestructurada, y los datos obtenidos fueron analizados a través de Emic y Etic, seleccionando, reduciendo y clasificándolos, obteniendo las categorías que se indican a continuación: “Asimilando la maternidad”, explicada por las emociones al recibir la noticia del embarazo, aprender a responsabilizarse del cuidado de su hijo(a) y aplicar conocimientos de enfermería. Otra categoría es el “apoyo del entorno” evidenciado por la ayuda de la pareja, familia, docentes y compañeras. También se encuentra la categoría “afrontando diferentes roles” de madre y estudiante. La “frustración al no cumplir plenamente con el rol materno y de estudiante” porque sienten que no pasan el tiempo suficiente con su hijo(a) pero tratan de brindar cuidado de calidad. Por otro lado las madres en estudio sienten que deben “lograr la autorrealización” terminando la carrera para lograr la estabilidad económica y poder cubrir las necesidades de su hijo(a). | es_PE |
