dc.descriptionThe present research intends to determine the influence of family factors that influent the abandonment of treatment in patients with tuberculosis of the Chepén support hospital in the year 2017. We worked with the sample universe of 25 patients that belong to the program of “Strategic Sanitaria Nacional de Prevention y Control de TBC”. Instruments of data collection were applied to patients belonging to the hospital's program, questionnaire, interview record sheet, observation record and field diary. Patients with tuberculosis treated at the Chepén Support Hospital, 28% are between 10 and 19 years old, therefore they are children and adolescents who need family support to recover their health. In the case of those over 20 years of age, in addition to the family, there is the spouse: only 4% of the sample is married, and 28% cohabiting; the remaining 68% is single, separated or widowed. In the case of minors, the family plays the role of protector and companion in the treatment, but this situation changes in the elderly because they do not present security that the spouse are constantly present in the process of recovering their health. In addition, 52% of the patients come from other provinces and the mountains of the Cajamarca region, therefore it is much more complicated the accompaniment by a relative, generating higher economic costs.es_PE
dc.description.abstractLa presente tesis tiene como propósito explicar la influencia de los factores familiares que influyen al abandono de tratamiento en pacientes con tuberculosis del Hospital de apoyo Chepén, en el Distrito de Chepén en el año 2017. La presente investigación tiene como universo muestral a 25 pacientes que pertenecen al Programa de la Estrategia Sanitaria Nacional de Prevención y Control de TBC. Se aplicaron instrumentos de recolección de datos a los pacientes que pertenecen al programa de dicho Hospital, cuestionario, ficha de registro de entrevista, registro de observación y diario de campo. Los pacientes con tuberculosis atendidos en el Hospital de Apoyo Chepén, el 28% tienen edades entre 10 – 14 años son niños y de 15 – 17 son adolescentes, que necesitan del apoyo familiar para recuperar su salud. En el caso de los mayores de 20 años de edad, además del ámbito familiar, está el conyugal: se tiene que solo el 4% de la muestra está casado, y un 28% es conviviente; el 68% restante es soltero, separado o viudo. En el caso de los menores, la familia juega el rol de protector y acompañante en el tratamiento, pero dicha situación cambia en las personas mayores pues no presentan seguridad de que él o la conyugue estén presentes constantemente en el proceso de recuperación de su salud. Además 52 % de los pacientes proceden de otras provincias aledañas y de la sierra de la región de Cajamarca, por lo tanto, se hace mucho más complicado el acompañamiento por algún familiar, generando mayores gastos económicos.es_PE
