Abstract
El trabajo titulado La enseñanza de la geografía en la prevención de desastres naturales constituye el registro del autor para documentar el desarrollo de su actividad como docente del nivel secundaria, en algunas instituciones educativas nacionales, específicamente en la I.E. Dulce Nombre de Jesús, de Celendín. Además, constituye un requisito exigido para demostrar la suficiencia profesional que un docente debe poseer para el ejercicio de su profesión, en general y el pleno dominio de los contenidos necesarios para ejercer la profesión docente con idoneidad en la enseñanza; en este caso, el dominio de toda la teoríay práctica concerniente a la geografía y la prevención de desastres naturales, desdela parte teórica y la práctica pedagógica. Para ello se utiliza, además de la experiencia en la labor docente, al análisisdocumental de diversas fuentes referidas a la geografía y los desastres naturales, al mismo tiempo que se resalta su importancia, tanto en la escuela como en el desarrollo social. Las conclusiones a las que se arriba permiten determinar la importancia del conocimiento geográfico en acciones concretas de prevención de desastres naturales, tanto en los propios estudiantes como en su entorno.
The work entitled The teaching of geography in the prevention of natural disasters constitutes the author’srecord to document the development of his activityas a teacher of the secondary level, in some national educational institutions, specifically in the I.E. Sweet Name of Jesus, of Celendin. In addition, it is a requirement to demonstrate the professional sufficiency that a teacher must possess for the exercise of his profession, in general and the full mastery of the contents necessary for the development of the teaching-learning process, in particular; in this case, the mastery of all theory and practice concerning geography and the prevention of natural disasters, both from the theoretical and pedagogical point of view. In addition to teaching experience, it uses documentary analysis from varioussources on geography and natural disasters, while highlighting their importance, both in school and in social development. The above conclusions make it possible to determine the importance of geographical knowledge in concrete actions to prevent natural disasters, both in thestudents themselves and in their environment.
