| dc.description | The purpose of this qualitative, descriptive research was to analyze the values and beliefs about abortion of nursing students at the National University of Trujillo. The population was made up of 20 students, who expressed their values and beliefs regarding abortion. The study was based on Leininger's Theory of Transcultural Nursing and Boff's essential care. The data were obtained through the semi-structured interview, later they were digitized and analyzed, generating three categories: 1) Denial of the new life with the subcategories: Interruption of the new life and Abortion: Decision and Law; 2) Values that forge a decision with the subcategories: Love, respect and responsibility: milestones of the decision and; Personal and social pillars present in the decision and, 3) Beliefs about abortion: The vision of the nursing student, with the subcategories: A mark for life and Condemned to divine punishment. The final considerations revealed that nursing students define abortion as the process of interrupting the development of the fetus and denying it the right to life, admit that women have the right to decide freely, recognize the importance of values such as love, respect, responsibility and justice; they also express as beliefs being discriminated against and sentenced by a superior power, by attempting against the life of a new being. | es_PE |
| dc.description.abstract | La presente investigación de tipo cualitativa y descriptiva; tuvo como propósito analizar los valores y creencias sobre el aborto de las estudiantes de Enfermería de la Universidad Nacional de Trujillo. La población estuvo conformada por 20 estudiantes, quienes expresaron sus valores y creencias frente al aborto. El estudio se basó en la Teoría de Enfermería Transcultural de Leininger y del cuidado esencial de Boff. Los datos fueron obtenidos mediante la entrevista semiestructurada, posteriormente se digitaron y analizaron, generando tres categorías: 1) Negación de la nueva vida con las subcategorías: Interrupción de la nueva vida y aborto: decisión y derecho; 2) Valores forjadores de una decisión con las subcategorías: Amor, respeto y responsabilidad: hitos de la decisión; y Pilares personales y sociales presentes en la decisión; y 3) Creencias sobre el aborto, con las subcategorías: Una marca de por vida y Condenada al castigo divino. Las consideraciones finales revelaron que las estudiantes de enfermería definen el aborto como el proceso de interrupción del desarrollo del feto negándosele el derecho a la vida, admiten que toda mujer tiene derecho a decidir libremente, reconocen la importancia de los valores como el amor, respeto, responsabilidad y justicia; además expresan como creencias el ser discriminadas y sentenciadas por un poder superior, al atentar contra la vida de un nuevo ser. | es_PE |
