Abstract
ABSTRACT In the present investigation the objective was to describe the agronomic management in the cultivation of Capsicum Annuum through the data obtained from surveys made to the traditional farmers of the district of Moche, province of Trujillo, La Libertad region. For the development of this research work we visited different farms of paprika producers associated with the Moche valley irrigation commission, which serve as intermediaries so that traditional farmers can count on the necessary water reserves and perform the tasks of irrigation and management of their plantations. The results show that the majority of farmers in the district of Moche, province of Trujillo, La Libertad region, manage their crops in a traditional way without an analysis of their soils before being planted, without having the necessary care in the obtaining the seed, managing their fields for their own experiences but not with professional assistance, obtaining as a result very low yields per hectare and low quality crops.
