Abstract
La presente investigación tiene como propósito estudiar si el crecimiento económico redujo la pobreza monetaria en la Macroregión norte del Perú durante el periodo 2010 – 2017 Para obtener información sobre la tasa de crecimiento y el índice de pobreza monetaria se tuvo que recurrir a cuadros, resultados y datos estadísticos proporcionados por instituciones oficiales del Estado peruano y otras instituciones o autores. Como metodología se utilizó el modelo econométrico de efectos fijos individuales introduciendo una variable de control para neutralizar el efecto de la variable dependiente. De los resultados se concluyó que la relación entre el crecimiento económico y la tasa de la pobreza es inversa. El coeficiente de la ecuación resultante señala que ante la variación de una unidad porcentual del crecimiento económico la tasa de pobreza variará en -0.0253 puntos porcentuales.
Description
The purpose of this research is to study whether economic growth reduced monetary
poverty in the Northern Macroregion of Peru during the period 2010 – 2017. To obtain
information on the growth rate and the monetary poverty index, tables, results and statistical data provided by official institutions of the Peruvian State and other institutions or authors had to be used. As a methodology, the econometric model of individual fixed effects was used by introducing a control variable to neutralize the effect of the dependent variable. From the results it was concluded that the relationship between the real gross domestic product and the poverty rate is inverse. The coefficient of the resulting equation indicates that, given the variation of one unit in millions of soles of the gross domestic product, the poverty rate will vary by -0.0253 percentage points.
