| dc.description | This research was a qualitative study within human sciences, which sought to discover a phenomenon of interest to nursing sciences, using the phenomenological approach. This study sought to reveal the feelings of family members of patients with prolonged mechanical ventilation, in order to raise awareness and encourage the health team in the importance of providing human quality accompanied by good treatment through communication, and thus understand the suffering they experience each day. Seven family members of patients hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit of “Victor Lazarte Echegaray” Hospital participated in the study. The data were obtained from the interview based on the guiding question: "How do you feel about having your patient with prolonged mechanical ventilation?", as well as taking into account the aspects of the methodological trajectory and the criteria of scientific rigor for qualitative research. The categories considered are: suffering from illness, clinging to / manifesting faith in God, impotence in the face of illness, family support / solidarity, fatality / resignation, and fear of losing a loved one. | es_PE |
| dc.description.abstract | El presente estudio se ubicó dentro de la investigación cualitativa en el campo de las ciencias humanas, que buscó descubrir un fenómeno de interés para la ciencia de enfermería, utilizó para tal propósito el enfoque fenomenológico. Este estudio buscó develar el “sentir del familiar del paciente con ventilación mecánica prolongada” con la finalidad de concientizar e incentivar, al equipo de salud, la importancia de brindar calidad humana acompañada de un buen trato a través de la comunicación, y entendiendo así el sufrimiento que ellos viven día a día. Participaron en el estudio siete familiares de pacientes hospitalizados en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos del hospital Víctor Lazarte Echegaray. Los datos se consiguieron de la entrevista en base a la pregunta orientadora: “¿Qué siente usted al tener a su paciente con ventilación mecánica prolongada?”, además se tuvo en cuenta los aspectos de la trayectoria metodológica y los criterios de rigor científico de la investigación cualitativa.
