Abstract
La presente investigación se realizó en el distrito de Salaverry, Provincia de Trujillo, Región La Libertad; con el objetivo de determinar el efecto comparativo de diferentes niveles de “sábila” Aloe vera sobre las características productivas de pollos de engorde Cobb 500. Se utilizaron 150 pollos distribuidos en tres tratamientos, bajo un diseño completamente al azar. Los tratamientos fueron: T0: agua de bebida sin sábila, T1: 50ml de sábila /lt de agua y T2: 100 ml de sábila/lt de agua. Las variables evaluadas fueron: peso final total (PF), Ganancia de peso total (GPT), Consumo de alimento total (CAT), Índice de conversión alimenticia (ICA), Porcentaje de mortalidad (PM), Índice de eficiencia productiva (IEP) y Relación beneficio /costo (B/C). Los resultados fueron evaluados estadísticamente con ANVA, la prueba de Tukey y Chi-Cuadrado. T0 obtuvo menor ganancia de peso total y peso final (2,361 kg y 2,407 kg) en comparación de T1 (2,365 kg y 2,411 kg) y T2 (2,370 kg y 2,416 kg) (p>0,05). El consumo de alimento; el mayor valor lo obtuvo T0 (4,53 kg) seguido de T1 (4,46 kg) y T2 (4,40 kg) (p>0,05); en el índice de conversión alimenticia no se calcularon diferencias estadísticas entre los valores 1,94; 1,93 y 1,92 (p>0,05) para T2, T1 y T0, respectivamente. Para el porcentaje de mortalidad T2 obtuvo el mayor valor con 4% seguido del T1 con 2% y T0 con 0% (p>0,05); en el índice de eficiencia productiva se obtuvieron 298.48, 291.48 y 284.65 para T0, T1 y T2 respectivamente. En la relación beneficio/costo de los tratamientos el mayor valor lo obtuvo el T0 con 1,12 seguido de 1,11y 1,106 para T1 y T2 respectivamente. El T0 obtuvo los mejores parámetros productivos numéricamente pero no se determinaron diferencias estadísticas entre tratamientos. Se concluye que los tratamientos con sábila, no causaron ningún efecto respecto a las características productivas.

The present investigation was conducted in the district of Salaverry, Province of Trujillo, La Libertad Region; with the objective of determining the comparative effect of different Aloe vera "aloe" levels on the productive characteristics of Cobb 500 broilers. 150 chickens distributed in three treatments were used, under a completely random design. The treatments were: T0: drinking water without aloe, T1: 50ml of aloe / lt of water and T2: 100ml of aloe / lt of water.
