| dc.description | Quantitative research, descriptive, correlational and cross-sectional. It was carried out in the Santa Isabel District Hospital, in 2017, with the purpose of determining the relationship between level of knowledge and breast self-examination practices in young adult women who attending the "Cancer Control" Program of the Santa Isabel Hospital, El Porvenir district, in the period between September and November 2017. The sample consisted of 76 young adult women who attended the "Cancer Control" Program that met the inclusion criteria. The data collection was obtained through the following instruments: Registration Sheet of Attendance at the Breast Cancer Information Talks, Instrument on Breast Self-Examination Practices and Knowledge Instrument and Practice of Breast Self-Examination. The data obtained were tabulated, processed in SPSS version 22 and presented in single and double entry tables with numerical and percentage frequency. The following conclusions were reached: 32.9 percent of young adult women presented a bad knowledge about level of knowledge about breast self-examination, 55.3 percent, a regular level and 11.8 percent, a good level. The practice of breast self-examination, 84.2 percent is regular, 15.8 percent is good and none has a bad level. The analysis of the relationship between the variables: level of knowledge and practice of breast self-examination in young adult women was performed using the Chi square test, where said value of 31,170 is observed with probability 0.000 being highly significant. | es_PE |
| dc.description.abstract | Investigación cuantitativa, de tipo descriptivo, correlacional y de corte transversal. Se realizó en el Hospital Distrital Santa Isabel, el año 2017, con el propósito de determinar la relación que existe entre nivel de conocimientos y prácticas de autoexamen de mama en mujeres adultas jóvenes que asisten al Programa “Control de Cáncer” del Hospital Santa Isabel, distrito El Porvenir, en el periodo comprendido entre Setiembre y Noviembre del 2017. La muestra estuvo constituida por 76 mujeres adultas jóvenes que asistieron al Programa “Control de Cáncer” que cumplieron los criterios de inclusión. La recolección de datos se obtuvo mediante los instrumentos: Hoja de Registro de Asistencia a las Charlas de información sobre Cáncer de Mama, Instrumento sobre Prácticas de Autoexamen de Mamas e Instrumento de Conocimiento y Práctica de Autoexamen de Mamas. Los datos obtenidos fueron tabulados, procesados en SPSS versión 22 y presentados en tablas de simple y doble entrada con frecuencia numérica y porcentuales. Se llegó a las siguientes conclusiones: El 32.9 por ciento de mujeres adultas jóvenes presenta un conocimiento malo sobre nivel de conocimiento sobre autoexamen de mama, el 55.3 por ciento, un nivel regular y el 11.8 por ciento, un nivel bueno. La práctica de autoexamen de mama, el 84.2 por ciento es regular, el 15.8 por ciento buena y ninguna tiene nivel malo. El análisis de la relación entre las variables: nivel de conocimiento y práctica de autoexamen de mama en mujeres adultas jóvenes se realizó mediante la prueba Chi cuadrado, donde se observa dicho valor de 31.170 con probabilidad 0.000 siendo altamente significativo. | es_PE |
