dc.descriptionThis research develops an expert system which allows Cesar Vallejo University_x000D_ of Trujillo applicants to help with vocational guidance. This system summarizes the_x000D_ knowledge of an expert (psychologist) through relevant information that a user provides_x000D_ to the system: taste for mathematics, spatial mastery, speech mastery, vocation of_x000D_ service, interpersonal relationships and software management._x000D_ This research took into account concepts related to forward chaining and its application_x000D_ in computer systems, vocational guidance tests (Holland theory), and software_x000D_ engineering concepts. In addition, it was necessary to rely on the Buchanan methodology_x000D_ for the implementation of the expert system, and the Java programming language_x000D_ was used for programming._x000D_ Good results were obtained from the expert system, that is to say, around 76 per_x000D_ cent of successful guidance were obtained (23) from the total sample of 30 students_x000D_ who will be directed to apply for environmental engineering, civil engineering, industrial_x000D_ engineering, medicine and lawes_PE
dc.description.abstractLa presente investigación desarrolla un sistema experto que permita ayudar a los postulantes a la Universidad César Vallejo de la ciudad de Trujillo en la orientación de una carrera profesional. Este sistema resume el conocimiento de un experto (psicólogo) mediante información relevante que un usuario proporciona al sistema: gusto por las matemáticas, dominio espacial, dominio del habla, vocación de servicio, relaciones interpersonales y manejo de software._x000D_ Para realizar esta investigación se tuvo en cuenta conceptos relacionados con forward chaining y su aplicación en sistemas informáticos, tests de orientación vocacional (teoría de Holland), y conceptos de ingeniería de software. Además, para la implementación del sistema experto fue necesario apoyarse en la metodología Buchanan, y para la programación se utilizó el lenguaje de programación Java._x000D_ Se obtuvo un buen comportamiento del sistema experto, es decir, alrededor de un_x000D_ 76 por ciento de orientaciones acertadas obtenidas (23) respecto del total de la muestra de 30 estudiantes que se les orientará a postular a las carreras de ingeniería ambiental, ingeniería civil, ingeniería industrial, medicina y derechoes_PE
