Abstract
ABSTRACT The objective of this work was to determine the maximum and design flow for irrigation water storage. Bambamarca. Bolivar. La Libertad. 2022. In addition to determining the morphometric characteristics of the study area (basin), determining the maximum and design flow, carrying out the hydraulic and structural design of the dam and determining the costs and budget. Firstly, the hydrological study was carried out, which consisted of the delimitation of the Cushura basin, the analysis of meteorological parameters was also carried out, in addition to which the maximum flood flow was calculated, which was 11.61 m3/s for a return period of 500 years. Next, the soil study was carried out, which allowed us to define the stratigraphic profile of the area under study, as well as to determine the physical-mechanical characteristics, stress and deformation properties, providing the minimum foundation conditions, indicating the type and depth of the foundations, admissible bearing capacity, geotechnical zoning along the projected lines, study the geological and/or geotechnical conditions, in order to ensure their stability and safety. Finally, the design of the dam was prepared using GeoStudio 2012 software, which allowed an integrated stability and seepage analysis to be carried out. Slope/W was used for the stability analysis, which allowed the calculation of slope stability. For the seepage analysis, Seep/W was used, which allowed the modelling and study of flow networks in permeable media. Finally, the embankment has a height of less than 5 m, and is composed of a minimum core material, therefore a slope of 2:1 upstream and 2:1 downstream of the embankment will be used.
