dc.descriptionThe present correlational descriptive type research was carried out with adolescent mothers of the Maternity Service of the Bethlehem Hospital of Trujillo, 2018, with the objective of determining the relationship of the perceived self-efficacy and the practice of breastfeeding. The sample consisted of 120 mothers to whom the Self-Efficacy Scale for Breastfeeding and the Breastfeeding Observation Card were applied. The results were processed in SPSS version 25 and presented in single and double entry. To determine the relationship between the variables, the Chi square test (X2) was used. The results show that 60.8% of mothers have an average level of self-efficacy, 21.7% low level; and 17.5% high level. 81.7% presented a bad practice of breastfeeding and 18.3% a good practice. It is concluded that the level of perceived self-efficacy has a statistically significant relationship with the breastfeeding practice of adolescent mothers (p = 0.0355 <0.05).es_PE
dc.description.abstractLa presente investigación de tipo descriptivo correlacional se realizó con madres adolescentes del Servicio de Maternidad del Hospital Belén de Trujillo, 2018, con objetivo de determinar la relación de la autoeficacia percibida y la práctica del amamantamiento. La muestra estuvo constituida por 120 madres a la cuales se les aplicó la Escala de Autoeficacia para la Lactancia Materna y la Ficha de observación del Amamantamiento. Los resultados fueron procesados en SPSS versión 25 y presentados en tablas de simple y doble entrada. Para determinar la relación entre las variables se utilizó la prueba estadística Chi cuadrado (X2). Los resultados muestran que el 60,8% de madres tiene un nivel medio de autoeficacia percibida, el 21,7% nivel bajo; y el 17,5% nivel alto. El 81,7% presenta una mala práctica de amamantamiento y solo18,3% una buena práctica. Se concluye que el nivel de autoeficacia percibida tiene relación estadística significativa con la práctica del amamantamiento de las madres adolescentes (p = 0.0355 < 0.05).es_PE
