Abstract
The history of humanity is witness to how the human being, from the beginning, wandered from one place to another looking for suitable territories where he could live, he went from being nomadic to sedentary. He began to grow his food, practice livestock, domesticate animals, create first communities, in short, he chose to live in a safe, quiet place, with favorable physical conditions. Currently, the situation has not changed much, people migrate from their place of origin in search of a better future. Peru is not the exception to the rule, during the last century large waves of migration from rural areas to large cities could be observed, due to economic, political and social factors. The migration of large numbers of people in search of better living conditions generates the centralization of resources in urban areas, leaving aside the demands of the rural population. For this reason, the following work will be in charge of addressing the causes and consequences of migrations to large cities.
