dc.descriptionThe actually quantitative research of pre-experimental type has been realized in the Miramar – Alto Moche district whit the goal of determine the efectivity of the educative program in the knowledge level of exclusive maternal lactation in beginner mother between the months of December and March. The sample was made of 20 mothers, to whose has been aplicated the instrument of “knowledge level of exclusive maternal lactation”, verifying the result in percentage and numeral frequency tables and using these to the statistics research of the student’s T test. The results show us that before the application of the program the 50 percent of beginner mothers presented a regular knowledge level and the other 50 percent presented a good level of this one. After the educative program was aplicated, the 100 percent of the mothers presented a good knowledge level and the 5 percent a regular one. The educational program was effective by increasing the level of knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding in primiparous mothers (p=0.0020). dc.description.abstractLa presente investigación cuantitativa de tipo pre - experimental se realizó en el distrito de Miramar-Alto Moche, con el objetivo de determinar la efectividad del programa educativo en el nivel de conocimiento materno sobre lactancia materna exclusiva en madres primíparas durante los meses de Diciembre a Marzo del 2013. El universo muestral estuvo constituido por 20 madres, a quienes se les aplicó el instrumento “Nivel de conocimiento sobre lactancia materna exclusiva”, reportándose los resultados en tablas de frecuencia numérica y porcentuales y utilizándose para el análisis estadístico la prueba T de Student. Los resultados obtenidos muestran que antes de la aplicación del programa educativo el 50 por ciento de las madres primíparas presentaron un nivel de conocimiento regular y el otro 50 por ciento obtuvieron un nivel de conocimiento bueno. Después de la aplicación del programa educativo el 100 por ciento de las madres primíparas presentaron un nivel de conocimiento bueno. El programa educativo fue efectivo al aumentar el nivel de conocimiento sobre lactancia materna exclusiva en madres primíparas (p=0.0020).
