Abstract
Este Informe de Tesis nos habla sobre factores personales y profesionales que limitan el cumplimiento de las funciones de las trabajadoras sociales que laboran en los centros del adulto mayor del departamento de La Libertad – 2011. Considerándose al Trabajador Social como un facilitador y orientador de las personas en problemas de índole social de manera que éstos puedan hallar y utilizar los recursos y medios necesarios para superar sus dificultades y lograr sus objetivos. Entrega soluciones según las posibilidades del caso y del entorno del o de los afectados y abre los caminos para hacer llegar la ayuda, pero siempre las personas son las que deben decidir qué hacer y hacerlo; otro de sus ámbitos es el desarrollo comunitario, donde el Trabajador Social está ligado a la función de fortalecer las organizaciones sociales en el mediano y largo plazo. Contribuye a la armonización y articulación del desarrollo del país, tanto en lo económico como social, la carrera implica el estudio de materias relativas a métodos y técnicas de diagnóstico y tratamiento social y estudio de problemas y políticas sociales, que aseguren la eficacia en los procedimientos de intervención de las problemáticas sociales, siendo uno de sus campos de acción los Centros del Adulto Mayor, este es el término o nombre que reciben quienes pertenecen al grupo etáreo que comprende personas que tienen más de 65 años de edad. Por lo general, se considera que los adultos mayores, sólo por haber alcanzada este rango de edad, son lo que se conocen como pertenecientes a la tercera edad, o ancianos. El adulto mayor pasa por una etapa de la vida que se considera como la última, en la que los proyectos de vida ya se han consumado, siendo posible poder disfrutar de lo que queda de vida con mayor tranquilidad. Usualmente las personas de la tercera edad han dejado de trabajar, o bien se jubilan, o participan de los Centros del Adulto Mayor, por lo que su nivel de ingresos decrece en forma considerable, lo que junto con los problemas de salud asociados a la edad pueden traer consecuencias en todos los ámbitos de su vida. Este informe de Tesis trata de poner de manifiesto los limitantes que existen para que el quehacer profesional de los Trabajadores Sociales no se vea limitado, ni mucho menos menoscabado. Para lo cual se presentan los siguientes capítulos: CAPITULO I: MARCO METODOLOGICO, en dicho capitulo se considera la realidad problemática, los antecedentes, las bases teóricas, el marco conceptual, el problema científico, las hipótesis y los objetivos. CAPITULO II: METODOS Y TECNICAS, este capítulo comprende la población en estudio, los métodos, las técnicas y los instrumentos utilizados en este proceso. CAPITULO III: ASPECTOS GENERALES DE LOS CENTROS DEL ADULTO MAYOR DEL DEPARTAMENTO DE LA LIBERTAD, en este capítulo se tratara sobre la ubicación, la naturaleza, los objetivos, la política y las funciones de los Centros del Adulto Mayor. CAPITULO IV: PRESENTACIÓN Y DISCUSIÓN DE RESULTADOS, este capítulo estará comprendido de cuadros y gráficos estadísticos, los mismos que serán analizados y sustentados a través de información bibliográfica y testimonios de los Trabajadores Sociales. CAPITULO V: CONCLUSIONES Y RECOMENDACIONES, este capítulo presenta las conclusiones y recomendaciones a las que se arribaron dentro de todo este proceso. Y por último el CAPITULO VI: REFERENCIAS BIBLIOGRAFICAS.

This Report of Thesis speaks to us on personal and professional factors that limit the fulfillment of the functions of the social workers who work in the centers of the major adult of the department of the freedom - 2011. Being considered to the Social Worker as a facilitator and oriented of the persons in problems of social nature so that these could find and use the resources and necessary means to overcome his difficulties and to achieve his aims. It delivers solutions according to the possibilities of the case and of the environment of or of the affected ones and opens the ways to make to come the help, but always the persons are those who must decide what to do and to do it; other one of his areas is the community development, where the Social Worker is tied to the function to strengthen the social organizations in the medium and long term. He contributes to the harmonization and joint of the development of the country, so much in the economic thing as socially, the career implies the study of matters relative to methods and technologies of diagnosis and social treatment and study of problems and social policies, which assure the efficiency in the procedures of intervention of the problematic social ones, being one of his fields of action the Centers of the Major Adult, this is the term or name that there receive those who belong to the group etáreo that understands persons who have more than 65 years of age. In general, it thinks that the major adults, only for having reached this range of age, are what are known like belonging to the third age, or elders. Usually the persons of the third age have stopped working, or retire, or take part of the Centers of the Major Adult, for what his level of income decreases in considerable form, which together with the problems of health associated with the age consequences, can bring in all the areas of his life. This report of Thesis tries to reveal the bounding ones that exist in order that the professional occupation of the Social Workers does not meet limited, far from it reduced. For which they present the following chapters: I COME TO TERMS I: METHODOLOGICAL FRAME, in the above mentioned chapter it is considered to be the problematic reality, the precedents, the theoretical bases, the conceptual frame, the scientific problem, the hypotheses and the aims. I COME TO TERMS the II: METHODS AND TECHNOLOGIES, this chapter the population understands in study, the methods, the technologies and the instruments used in this process. I COME TO TERMS the III: GENERAL ASPECTS OF THE CENTERS OF THE MAJOR ADULT OF THE DEPARTMENT OF THE FREEDOM, in this chapter it was treating itself on the location, the nature, the aims, the politics and the functions of the Centers of the Major Adult. I COME TO TERMS the IV: PRESENTATION AND DISCUSSION OF RESULTS, this chapter will be understood of pictures and statistical graphs, the same ones that will be analyzed and sustained across bibliographical information and testimonies of the Social Workers. I COME TO TERMS V: CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS, this chapter presents the conclusions and recommendations at which they arrived inside all this process. And finally I COME TO TERMS VI SAW: BIBLIOGRAPHICAL REFERENCES.
